2009 Daytona 500 Results
Matt Kenseth won the 2009 Daytona 500 on Sunday in a race that was called early due to rain. The race was called after 152 laps with 48 laps remaining.
Kyle Busch had led most of the day before being taken out by Dale Earnhardt Jr. in a multi-car crash late in the race.

Ryan Newman sure knows how to break out of a slump. Newman snapped an 81-race winless streak Sunday, bringing home the first Daytona 500 win for owner Roger Penske along the way. |

The 2007 Daytona 500 came down to a green-white-checkers finish. Mark Martin was in the lead with Kyle Busch, Greg Biffle, David Gilliland and Elliott Sadler in line behind him.
Kevin Harvick got a run on the outside. There was a huge wreck coming off turn four in the last lap. Mark Martin was in the lead at that moment but NASCAR decided not to throw the yellow. Kevin Harvick beat Mark back to the line by just a nose.
