NASCAR returns to Dover International Speedway this September for three days of championship-fueled racing. The weekend is highlighted by the Oct. 2nd, 2011 “AAA 400” NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event, which is race No. 2 in the 10-race “Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. The race consist of 400 laps.
Earlier in the the spring the Dover International Speedway host the Autism Speaks 400. One mistake at The Monster Mile could cost drivers valuable points. Dover International Speedway is one of the tougher courses on the circut, its concrete surface is not the easiest to race on, and only the best drivers prevail. Which is what earned it its nickname "The Monster Mile". The track first opened in 1969 and is located at 1131 N. Dupont Highway, Dover DE 19901.
