The 2011 NASCAR season reaches its pinnacle, after 38 races, on Sunday, Nov. 20th with the Ford 400. Don't miss your chance to bet on one of the biggest events of the racing year where, after 267 dramatic laps, a Sprint Cup Champion will be crowned at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Benning this year the 3 Amigos Tequila will be the official tequila of the Homestead Miami Speedway.
With it's inception in 1999, the Ford 400 has grown in favor with NASCAR fans by leaps and bounds. The Ford 400 took a major leap in popularity when it became the last race of the NASCAR season, meaning the results of the race had a major impact on the Sprint Cup standings.
Over the years the raceway has gone through many renovations by widening the turns on the track and raising the banking level for a higher speed of racing. Shortly afterwards, lights were installed to allow night racing for the first time. The renovations were praised by fans, and the track has produced a number of close finishes, including 2005's last-lap battle between Greg Biffle and Mark Martin.
The Homestead Miami Speedway hosts the Sprint Series championship weekend, which includes the Ford 400 Sprint Cup Series Race, the Ford 300 Nationwide Series Race, and the Ford 200 Craftsman Truck Series Race. For the past 10 years the Homestead Miami Speedway has been the site to host the Nascar Sprint Cup Championship and crowning the its winner. The track started with construction in 1993 and opened in 1995 at a $70 million cost. It has a capacity of 65,000 seats, it is owned and operated by the International Speedway Corporation. From 1995-1996 it was called the Metro-Dade Homestead Motorsports Complex. It has an oval shape of 1.5 mi(2.4 km) with 11 turns and banking Turns 18–20° (progressive)

Denny Hamlin won the 2009 Ford 400, but it was Jimmie Johnson that stole the show on Sunday. Jimmie Johnson shouted as the crossed the finish line at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
No, Johnson didn't win Sunday's Ford 400, But Johnson accomplished something far more significant than a victory in a single event. His fifth-place finish was more than good enough to clinch his fourth Cup Series title in a row, breaking a tie with Cale Yarborough for most consecutive championships.
2008 Ford 400 Results
In 2008, Tony Stewart cruised to his second NASCAR championship in four years at the Ford 400, capping an uncharacteristically calm season for the former bad boy. He won races, kept his temper in check and avoided every major incident long enough to cement himself as one of the greatest drivers of his time.
Needing only to run a clean race at the Ford 400, he hovered just outside the top 10 and away from any potential danger. He ended up 15th, winning the title by 35 points over Greg Biffle, and winning his second Ford 400 in a row. Stewart became just the 14th driver in NASCAR history with more than one championship and joined four-time winner Jeff Gordon as the only active full-time drivers with multiple titles.
