Hopkins vs Pascal fight results
It was one of the most exciting fights in the last few months, both contenders gave their best that it showed what a excelent conditions both of these atheletics are in. It was first thought that Jean Pascal was going to win the bout due mainly to his speed, youth and condition. But this was by far an easy bout for Jean Pascal, the 45-year-old did not give up at any point during the 12 round match, even when he was sent to the canvas in various opportunities. Hopkins is a very experience boxer and got the hang of the fight, making Pascal go down to the canvas as well. The last round was extremely exciting for the fans, since Pascal and Hopkins gave everything they had. At the end eveyone thought that Hopkins was going to be the first 45-year-old that would win one of the major belts in the sport. The judges did not see this to happend and the fight was a split decision.
The final scores were 114-112 Hopkins, 113-113 and 114-114, for a Majority Draw; this allowed Pascal to retain his title. The mayority of the fan did not agreed with this decision.
