Julio Cesar chavez Jr. will be facing Pawel "Raging Bull" Wolak on December the 4th, 2010 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California on a 12-round Superwelther fight.
Chavez Jr. was hoping to fight Miguel Cotto but Cotto decided to take off the rest of the year and come back in March 2011. Then he was fighting Alfonso Gomez until yesterday because of a lingering affects of elbow injury while training and was replaced with Wolak.
Pawel Wolak (27-1,17 KOs) is coming from 3 wins, last one to be in June when he defeated James Moore(17-2), before it was Ishmail Arvin and Carlos Nascimento. In his last fight Wolak won on a 10-round unanimous decision victory over Moore. This fight was fought at the Yankee Stadium on June 5.
Wolak is world-rated # 7 by the World Boxing Association, he is known as an aggressive, high-pressure style fighter; he is trained by Tommy Brooks. Wolak was schedule to fight on December 16 in New York, but now will fight Chavez Jr. this coming up Sunday.
