The Chase for the Sprint Cup is coming down to the wire, and the excitement is heating up in the desert, as drivers know that the tri-oval track of Phoenix International Raceway could mean the difference between glory and obscurity for the next Sprint Cup. With just two races to go, several drivers remain in contention to win the "Chase for the Sprint Cup" championship. The AdvoCare 500 formely known as the Kobalt Tool 500, it is sponsor by AdvoCare International. It will be raced on Nov. 11th at the Phoenix International Raceway and this is almost the last race for The Chase, it is the 9th race on The Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. Track president Bryan R. Spencer announced several weeks ago that the grandstands are sold out for this particular racen there are still tickets for the Great Clips 200 on Saturday Nov. 10th.
Pop singer/songwriter and actress JoJo, partnering with Niner Sports, will sing “The Star Spangled Banner” prior to the AdvoCare 500 Semi-Final NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Race at Phoenix International Raceway on Sunday, November 11.
AdvoCare is a health and wellness company that offers world-class nutrition, weight loss, energy and sports performance products. They also sponsor Austin Dillon and the No. Chevrolet in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.
The Phoenix International Raceway has been maintaining its strong presence among other racing tracks since 1964, the year when it was first opened as a desert oasis for American open-wheel racing. Since then the Phoenix International Raceway has been through many changes.
In April 2005, the Phoenix International Raceway hosted the Subway Fresh 500 under new lights that produce enough to light more than 10,000 city blocks. The addition of that race to the NASCAR race schedule gives Phoenix International Raceway two Sprint Cup weekends each year, including the traditional November date that comes in the next-to-last weekend of the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship battle.
