Toyota Owners 400
The Royal Crown 400 is a Nascar Sprint Cup series race held at the Richmond International Raceway in Richmond, Virginia, will be held on April 27th, 2013. This race started in 1953 for some time is was held during the evening on Saturday, then moved to Sunday afternoon, currently it is held on Saturday evening.
This is the third year that this event will take place, the proceeds of this race will go to the Denny Hamlin Foundation, it benefits individuals and families that suffer from cystic fibrosis, it supports organizations like The Children;s Hospital of Richmond, the St. Jude's hospital and the Victory Juntion among others.
Crown Royal race sponsor had a contest(2007-2011) which honored one lucky winner by naming the race after “The Crown Royal”. Last year the race was called the Matthew and Daniel Hansen 400. David Stremme announced that he will return to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series this season and join forces with the newly-formed Inception Motorsports. The NASCAR veteran will drive the No. 30 Inception Chevrolet in select NSCS events in 2011, beginning with the Crown Royal presents the Matthew and Daniel Hansen 400 at Richmond International Raceway. Hometown hero Denny Hamlin returns to America's Premier Short Track for the first time since his runner-up finish in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. Defending race winner Kyle Busch, defending champion Jimmie Johnson, Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and all of the stars of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series will beat and bang around the 3/4-mile track for the checkered flag.
