Pennsylvania 500 Driver Odds 2009

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series returns to action on Sunday, Aug. 2 with the Sunoco Red Cross Pennsylvania 500 at Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, Penn. Located in the beautiful Pocono mountains, this unique and triangular track always provides fans with exciting Sprint Cup action!
The Pennsylvania 500 is one of two races held at Pocono Raceway and the other being the Pocono 500. The Pennsylvania 500 comes in the heat of the summer, usually early August, right after the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard, in Indianapolis.
Pocono Raceway is considered one of NASCAR's most competitive raceways. Pocono's unique 2.5 mile track features three turns, with different degrees of banking making it a tough track for any driver. The race is full of lead changes especially with the long straightaway and wide Pit Road.
Defending Sprint Cup champion and winner of last week’s Allstate 400, Jimmie Johnson, is the pre-race favorite to win.
