This is the second leg of the "Desert Swing" consisting of 3 golf tournaments and it is played at the Doha Golf Club since 1998. This venue was designed by Peter Harradine, it is a very challenging desert-type course. Measuring 7,374 yards, some say that one of the hardest courses on the Europe PGA tour. The sporting event is organized by the Qatar Golf Associoation, the Qatar Olympic Committee and title sponsor The Commercialbank of Qatar.
Celebreties and pros will be contesting for the $2,500,000 million purse on the 4 days of competition. Some of the most challenging and prestigeous players will be the field for the 2012 Qatar Masters Tournament.
