Texas Motor Speedway
Fort Worth, TX
NASCAR is heading to Texas for the first of two races at Texas Motor Speedway. The race is set to get underway on April 6th in one of the biggest racing stadiums of the year.
Then there’s the track. The Texas Motor Speedway track is a 1.5 mile obstacle that offers many of the same challenges as Lowes Motor Speedway. Banked turns and a long straightaway on the back half offer drivers the chance to let loose. It’s such a remarkable venue that NASCAR has to come back in the fall for the Dickies 500.
The Texas Motor Speedway track is pure speed and built on the classic big track NASCAR betting track design. With 24 degree turns and steep banking this track is like a miniature of NASCAR betting’s legendary Daytona track. Drivers will run wide-open at this track the race should be very fast and very clean which means excellent NASCAR betting competition. The design of Texas Motor Speedway is very similar to that of Atlanta Motor Speedway and Lowes Motor Speedway which are all owned by Speedway Motor Sports, Inc.
The Texas Motor Speedway was once considered to be the fastest non-restrictor plate race on the NASCAR tour with qualifying speeds in excess of 192 mph and corner entry speeds of over 200 mph. Brian Vickers holds the record for the fastest qualifying time at 196.235 mph. Texas Motor Speedway was the first track to install a different type lap counter, one that counts the laps remaining and also the laps that have been run.
As opposed to shorter tracks which often resemble a crash-up derby more than a NASCAR betting event, the bigger tracks allow drivers to show off their driving skills and less wrecks means less reliance on luck in the NASCAR betting.
