Jermain Taylor vs. Jeff Lacy
When: Nov-15 / 10:00:00 PM
The Jermain Taylor-Jeff Lacy fight is set for November 15 on HBO
In moving up to 168 pounds former middleweight champion of the world Jermain Taylor, will face former IBF 168 pound
champ Jeff Lacy. The fight will be televised by HBO.
Not only that, but as Joe Calzaghe is soon to be stripped of his WBO super-middleweight belt, wich means Taylor vs. Lacy would
contest the vacant belt.
Taylor (27-2-1, 17 KO's) became the undisputed and undefeated middleweight champion of the world on July 16, 2005 when he
beat Bernard Hopkins at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Taylor defended his championship four times, including a Hopkins
rematch (December 3, 2005), and was undefeated in his first 27 professional fights before back-to-back losses to present
champ Kelly Pavlik.
As for Lacy, though he was badly beaten by Calzaghe, he maintains he is still hungry and is a far better fighter than he
appeared to be in his sole career defeat.
The next two dates being held by HBO for November 8, Roy Jones Jr. vs. Joe Calzaghe and Taylor Vs. Lacy appear to be November 15.
