UFC 70 Fight Odds
On April 21st UFC 70 goes across the pond to England. UFC 70 starring Mirko CroCop, Andrei Arlovski, and
England's own Michael Bisping will be a huge event. Nations Collide as the UFC visits the UK for the first
time since 2002 with a card full of European superstars, live from M.E.N Arena in Manchester, England.
The UFC's British debut was in July 2002 with UFC 38: Brawl in the Hall. The main event featured Matt Hughes'
second welterweight title defense, a renatch with Carlos Newton, where he beat him in the same fashion he
beat BJ Penn. This was the card Ian Freeman destroyed Frank Mir too.
Former Heavyweight Champion Andrei “The Pit Bull” Arlovski is continuing his journey to the top of the UFC,
as he fights PRIDE FC veteran, and Aleksander Emelianenko conqueror, Fabricio Wernum.
Another Light Heavyweight matchup pits undefeated Brazilian Lyoto Machida against Forrest Griffin eplacement
David Heath. Griffin had to withdraw from UFC 70 due to a severe staph infection, allowing the undefeated Heath
to step in. Heath, an undefeated light heavyweight from Oklahoma, is relatively new to the UFC, Heath made his
UFC debut in August of 2006 against Cory Walmsley, taking him down in the first round at UFC 62, and a split
decision win in three rounds with Victor Valimaki of Canada. |
Rounding out the PPV bouts is a Heavyweight duel between heavy-handed Cheick Kongo and Brazilian Assuerio Silva.
