UFC 82: PRIDE OF A CHAMPION

The main event of UFC 82 will be Anderson Silva against Dan Henderson for the UFC Middleweight Title.
In a long-awaited superfight to determine the undisputed king of the middleweight division,
Anderson "The Spider" Silva, UFC Middleweight Champion, will take on PRIDE 183-lb. Champion Dan Henderson
when the UFC makes its third trip to the state of Ohio on Saturday, March 1, 2008.
Anderson Silva has been so dominant as UFC Middleweight Champion that people are starting to wonder if
there is anyone out there who can dethrone him and Now Pride champion Dan Henderson has stepped up to
the challenge. Anderson Silva may be the best pound-for-pound fighter in the sport and Dan Henderson may
be the strongest, toughest guy in the middleweight division.
Other confirmed match-ups so far include:
Josh Koscheck vs Dustin Hazelett
Koscheck you likely will know from the Ultimate Fighter. He will bring a 9-2 record into this fight. His
last fight was a decision loss to Georges St. Pierre at UFC 74 - Respect. Dustin Hazelett currently has a
record of 10-3, and he has won his last three fights and 8 out of his last nine.

since 2002 — more than five years. His rise to the top of the division has been long and hard.
Chris Wilson (13-3) might step up to face top welterweight contender, Jon Fitch (15-2), at UFC 82: “Pride of a
Champion” on March 1 at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.
The UFC visited Columbus, Ohio last year when it held UFC 68: THE UPRISING at Nationwide Arena on March 3.
More than 19,000 people attended the sold-out event, which grossed a gate of more than $3 million. The event set
a new record for the highest North American attendance figure for a mixed martial arts event and still stands as
