Rich Franklin Vs Vitor Belfort

Vitor Belfort (18-8) has been acquired from the fallout of Affliction MMA and will replace Dan Henderson against Rich Franklin (25-4) in the main event of UFC 103 from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, on Sept. 19.

Franklin scored a big win over the always dangerous Wanderlei Silva at UFC 99: “The Comeback” via unanimous decision back in June at a catchweight of 195 pounds. It was the third win in the last four attempts for the Cincinnati, Ohio, native, solidifying his position as a serious, and capable, light heavyweight contender. But, if Vitor KO's Rich Franklin, we can expect a title shot at 185lbs to be in his future.

Mirko Cro Cop Vs Junior Santos

Cro Cop is widely considered to be one of the greatest strikers in MMA history. Nearly two years after leaving the Octagon following back-to-back losses to Gabriel Gonzaga and Cheick Kongo in 2007, Cro Cop (25-6-2) returned to the UFC in June, defeating Mostapha Al-Turk via first-round TKO at UFC 99.

Dos Santos possesses an 8-1 overall record with six knockouts to his credit. His only two performances in the UFC have ended with first round knockout victories over Fabricio Werdum and Stefan Struve. In other words, if this UFC 103 match up does go off, someone will likely get knocked out.

In addition, a bout between returning welterweight contender Frank Trigg and perennial threat Josh Koscheck.

Though his last two UFC appearances resulted in first-round rear-naked choke losses to Matt Hughes and Georges St. Pierre, Trigg is now on a four-fight win streak, including wins over Edwin Dewees and Falaniko Vitale. Koscheck is coming off an upset knockout loss against Paulo Thiago to UFC 95 in February, and needs a win to still be considered one of the best 170-pounders in the division.
