Henderson is well known for his tremendous agressive style, his cardio and his great ability to escape from deep submission attempts. Since his debut at UFC 129 back on April 30, 2011 when he defeated via unanimous decision the fighter Mark Bocek. And after defeating Miller on August, 2011 he has shown great transitions, and the use of a stiff jab.
He is ranked as the number one in his lighweight category by Sherdog.
He also faced Clay Guida on November, 2011 and won the fight via unanimous decision what made him become the #1 contender for the UFC Lighweight Title; after all Henderson faced Frankie Edgar on February 25, 2012 at UFC 144; results; he defeated Edgar via unanimous decision to made UFC Lightweight Champion. A rematch between this two great contenders is expected to take place at UFC 150.
Frank James Edgar first wrestled at Toms River High School East, making it to the New Jersey state championship tournament on three occasions achieving excellent results on all of the championships. He continued wrestling at Clarion University, where he made it to the finals for four years in a row. Nowadays he's is also an assistant trainer for Rutgers U. wrestling team.
