BJ “The Prodigy” Penn,the last man ever to defeat Hughes, will step up for the shot at the welterweight
title for UFC 63: HUGHES vs. PENN live from the Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim Saturday, September 23.
Penn was a highly regarded lightweight fighter and scored one of the biggest upsets in mixed martial
arts history when he rose 15 pounds in weight to take on and defeat Hughes in his first ever welterweight bout.

title match against Matt Hughes at UFC 63 in September in Anaheim. St. Pierre suffered a groin pull in training
