Why Bet The Temple Owls To Beat The Nay Midshipmen

The Owls (9-3 SU, 11-1 ATS) enter the AAC Championship game on fire, having won six straight games including their emphatic 37-10 blowout of East Carolina this past Saturday while covering the spread as a whopping 22.5-point favorite.

Running back Jahad Thomas rushed for a team-high 152 rushing yards and two scores to lead the Owls to victory.

This season, Temple is averaging a healthy 32.8 points per game to rank 46th nationally as Thomas has led the way by rushing for a team-high 856 yards and 18 touchdowns. Quarterback Phillip Walker has completed an uninspiring 57.9 percent of his passes while throwing 18 TD passes but a costly 12 interceptions.

Defensively, Temple has been mostly outstanding this season in limiting the opposition to just 17.8 points per game to rank a stupendous 10th nationally in points allowed. The Owls rank 26th nationally against the pass and a jaw-dropping second against the run (128.0 ypg).

Why Bet The Navy Midshipmen To Beat The Temple Owls

The 25th ranked Midshipmen (9-2 SU, 7-3-1 ATS) have won four straight including
their regular season ending 75-31 blowout over SMU this past weekend while easily covering the spread as a 7-point favorite.

Quarterback Will Worth completed 5 of 7 passes for 104 yards and one touchdown while adding 107 rushing yards and three scores on just 15 carries. This season Navy is averaging a stellar 41.7 points per game to rank 11th nationally in scoring thanks mostly to their second-ranked rushing attack which averages a stunning 342.0 yards per game.

Worth has completed a solid 61.7 percent of his passes this season with eight touchdowns and three picks while rushing for a team-high 1,363 yards. Defensively, Navy is allowing their opponents to average a whopping 30.1 points per game to rank 76th nationally.

Expert ATS Pick & Final Score Prediction

I don’t know why a decisive 78 percent of public bettors are backing the Navy Midshipmen to cover the spread as 3-point home favorites, but I’m going to advise against it.

While Navy has one of the best rushing attacks I the country, Temple has one of the best run-stopping defenses in the nation. I’m fully expecting the Owls to limit Navy’s rushing attack while forcing them into uncomfortable passing situations.

The Owls are an experienced bunch and have one of the country’s best coaches in my opinion in Vern Rhule.  Not only that, Navy’s defense is lacking and Temple has some playmakers, starting with running back Jahad Thomas.

The Owls are 5-0 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record and a seriously consistent 24-8 ATS in their last 32 conference games.

The Midshipmen are 19-7 ATS in their last 26 home games and 12-4-1 ATS in their last 17 conference games. However, with Temple going 4-1 ATS in their last five road dates against Navy and 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings overall, I say the Owls are a great underdog pick in this one!

My final score prediction is Temple 35 – Navy 31

Cowboys Vs Sooners Spread & ATS Pick

Cowboys Vs Sooners Spread & ATS Pick

The seventh-ranked Oklahoma Sooners and 11th-ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys are set to stage what looks like a terrific matchup just waiting to happen when they square off in their huge Big 12 matchup on Saturday. Week 13’s NCAAF Cowboys Vs Sooners spread favors the Sooners by 12-points.

The two longtime rivals will take to the gridiron at Memorial Stadium at 12:30 PM ET with the game airing live on FOX TV. Now, let’s find out where the value in this matchup lies.

Oklahoma State Cowboys Vs Oklahoma Sooners Spread & ATS Pick

What: Oklahoma State Cowboys (9-2) at Oklahoma Sooners (9-2)
When: Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 12:30 PM ET
TV: FOX
Spread: Oklahoma -12
Moneyline: Oklahoma State +320 at Oklahoma -420
Game Total: 77.5

Why Bet The Oklahoma State Cowboys To Beat The Sooners

The Cowboys have won seven straight and come into this enormous matchup off a resounding 31-6 smackdown over TCU two weeks ago while easily covering the spread as a surprising 6.5-point road dog as running back Justice Hill rushed for a team-high 154 yards and backup Chris Carson added 146 rushing yards and one score. Quarterback Mason Rudolph passed for 207 yards with one touchdown while adding two rushing scores for the Cowboys.

For the season, Rudolph is completing 64.2 percent of his passes for 3,591 yards, 25 touchdowns, and four interceptions to help Oklahoma State rank an impressive 14th nationally in scoring (40.4 ppg). Defensively, Oklahoma State is allowing 27.2 points per game to rank 57th nationally in points allowed.

Why Bet The Oklahoma Sooners To Beat The Cowboys

The Sooners have won eight in a row and enter this Big 12 battle coming off an emphatic 56-28 blowout over West Virginia two weeks ago as 3.5-point road favorites. Quarterback baker Mayfield threw two TD passes in the win while running back Samaje Perine rushed for 160 yards and two scores. Backup running back Joe Mixon added 147 rushing yards and one score while Mayfield also scored twice on the ground.

Oklahoma averages a stellar 45.3 points per game to rank second nationally in scoring as Mayfield has completed an incendiary 71.4 percent of his passes for 3,381 yards with 35 touchdowns and just eight interceptions.

Defensively, Oklahoma is giving up an overly generous 30.5 points per game to rank 81st in points allowed.

Oklahoma State Cowboys Vs Oklahoma Sooners ATS Pick

61 percent of the betting public likes Oklahoma State o cover the double-digit point spread and so do I.

The Cowboys are 4-0 ATS in their last four games against a team with a winning record and 10-1 ATS in their last 11 games after rushing for more than 200 yards in their previous game.

On the flip side of the coin, Oklahoma is an uninspiring 2-5 ATS in their last seven home games against a team with a winning road record and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following an ATS win.

While Oklahoma State has gone 3-8 ATS in their last 11 meetings, the  bottom line for this matchup is that these two teams are very evenly matched and this contest should easily be decided by much closer to a field goal than the insane double-digit spread it currently is.

Oklahoma State covers the spread with room to spare while pushing the Sooners really hard for the outright win.

My final score prediction is Oklahoma 34 Oklahoma State 31

Baylor Vs West Virginia Line & Final Score Prediction

Baylor Vs West Virginia Line & Final Score Prediction

The Baylor Bears will look to pull off the huge upset over the 14th-ranked West Virginia Mountaineers when they square off in their Week 14 Big 12 matchup at Milan Puskar Stadium on Saturday. The two conference rivals will square off at 3:30 PM ET with the game airing live on FS1. Now, let’s find out which one of these teams is offering the most value collegiate gridiron gaming aficionados.

Baylor Bears Vs West Virginia Mountaineers SLine & Final Score Prediction

What: Baylor Bears (6-5) at West Virginia Mountaineers (9-2)
When: Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 3:30 PM ET
TV: FS1
Spread: West Virginia -16.5
Moneyline: Baylor +800 at West Virginia -600
Game Total: 66.5

Why Bet The Baylor Bears To Beat The Mountaineers

The Bears (6-5 SU, 2-9 ATS) have lost five straight games and got smacked senseless by high-scoring Texas Tech in their 54-35 Week 13 loss this past Friday while never coming close to covering the spread as a 4-point favorite just as I predicted (duh).

Baylor has fallen completely apart after winning its first six games this season. The Bears have given up at least 35 points in their five straight losses and at least 42 points in each of their last four games. Baylor’s pitiful defense not only gave up 54 points to Texas Tech last time out,  but they also gave up a whopping 62 points in falling to TCU on November 5.

The Bears are ranked a stupendous fourth nationally in total offense (530.9 ypg), while also ranking 27th in scoring at 36.2 points per contest.

Backup quarterback Zach Smith has completed a discouraging 57.9 percent of his passes for 907 yards with eight touchdowns and four interceptions since taking over for injured starter Seth Russell.

Defensively, Baylor is giving up 31.0 points per game to rank 85th in points allowed, but have given up a mind-boggling 47.6 points per contest over their five-game losing streak.

Why Bet The West Virginia Mountaineers To Beat The Bears

The Mountaineers (9-2 SU, 5-6 ATS) bounced back from their humbling loss to Oklahoma one week earlier to rout Iowa State 49-19 this past Saturday and easily cover the spread as a 7.5-point road favorite as quarterback Skyler Howard passed for 330 yards and tossed five TD passes to lead the Mountaineers to victory.

West Virginia is ranked 41st nationally in scoring at 33.4 points per game. For the season, Howard is completing 62.5 percent of his passes for 3,083 yards with 24 touchdowns and a respectable 10 interceptions. West Virginia is a well-balanced team that ranks 25th in passing (281.6 ypg) and 23rd in rushing (233.0 ypg).

Defensively, West Virginia has limited the opposition to 23.6 points per game to rank 37th nationally in points allowed.

Baylor Vs West Virginia Final Score Prediction

I’m going to get right to the point by saying that I’m completely and utterly stunned that 56 percent of the betting public likes Baylor to cover the spread in this contest.

Not only have the Bears gone 0-4 ATS in their last four games following a straight-up or ATS loss, but they’re also 0-5 ATS in their last five conference games and 0-6 ATS in their last half-dozen road games.

West Virginia is 4-0 ATS in their last four games after scoring more than 40 points in their previous game. More importantly, Baylor couldn’t stop running water if their collective lives depended on it.

There’s no way in hell I’d back Baylor to cover any spread these days with the way they’re giving up points. West Virginia can be downright explosive on occasion and I expect them to have their way offensively while pounding Baylor that until the Bears wave the white flag.

My final score prediction is West Virginia 49 Baylor 28
