Cleveland Vs Golden State Game 2 NBA Finals Spread & ATS Pick

Cleveland Vs Golden State Game 2 NBA Finals Spread & ATS Pick

Teams who win Game 1 have gone on to win the NBA Finals 70% of the time. That leaves the Golden State Warriors as the smart bet to win their second NBA Title in three years unless the Cleveland Cavaliers can make the proper adjustments after losing on Thursday 113-91.

The early Game 2 NBA betting spread has the Warriors favored by 7-points before the series started. After last night’s embarassing showing from the Cavs that spread ballooned to 8.5-points. Tip-off is this Sunday, June 4th at 9:00 PM ET on ABC from ORACLE Arena in Oakland, California.

Why Bet The Cleveland Cavaliers To Beat The Warriors

The Cavs lost game 1. There is no reason to panic. Last year LeBron & Co. overcame a 3 game to 1 deficit to snatch the NBA Title from the Warriors fingertips. Lebron James is 1-7 in NBA Finals Game 1’s and has won 3 NBA Titles. He knows what it takes to win.

James’ was two assists short of a triple-double with 28 points, 15 rebounds, and eight assists. His eight turnovers didn’t help, but he will continue to dominate on the scoreboard.

What else can the Cavaliers do to win Game 2?

First pick better shots and drain the open looks. The Cavaliers shot 34.9% from the field. That’s awful. That’s garbage. It can’t happen again.

Believeland’s Big Three had a big night. PG Kyrie Irving added 24 points, and PF Kevin Love scored 15 points and pulled down 21 rebounds. No other Cavalier showed up. The remaining nine who saw action put up a paltry 24 points. Their effort equaled mine and I was watching the game from my couch.

Another glaring hole in the Cavs Game 1 play was their defense. No one even attempted to slow down Kevin Durant. Moreover, they played defense as tough as the Washington Generals. The Cavaliers allowed the Warriors to pull down 14 offensive rebounds. That’s being lazy, but again, fixable.

Why Bet The Golden State Warriors To Beat The Cavaliers

Game 1 was the Kevin Durant show.

Durant, who is favored to win the NBA Finals MVP, put up a game-high 38 points. Each one a death by a thousand cuts. Throw in his take no prisioners attitude and the Cavs didn’t stand a chance.

PG Steph Curry added 28 points. He went 6-11 from three-point land. Even though Curry has taken more of a Robin role to Durant’s Batman on the scoreboard, he is the teams undisputed on-court leader.

The other duo of Golden State’s Big Four failed to score double digits. If either of the two show up in this series you can put a fork in Believeland.

If You Still Can’t Decide Who To Bet On:

  • Warriors are 19-6-1 ATS in their last 26 games as a favorite.
  • Warriors are 20-6-1 ATS in their last 27 games following a straight up win.
  • Warriors are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following an ATS win.
  • Cavaliers are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game.
  • Cavaliers are 7-1-1 ATS in their last 9 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600.
  • Cavaliers are 7-1-1 ATS in their last 9 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.

Cleveland Vs Golden State Game 2 NBA Finals

Golden State can’t be stopped, Cleveland needs to keep pace for 45 minutes and then hope they can get a few stops and big shots down the strecth. I don’t see that happening. Bet the Warriors.

Early 2017 Belmont Stakes Trifecta Pick

Early 2017 Belmont Stakes Trifecta Pick

The Belmont Stakes is called the Test of Champions for a reason. At 1 ½ miles, it’s the longest of the three races that make up the Triple Crown. While horses that ran in the Kentucky Derby usually have an edge in the Preakness Stakes, Cloud Computing notwithstanding, fresh horses have an edge in the Belmont. That’s why I can’t use Classic Empire, the 3/2 Belmont chalk, on top in my early trifecta play.

Early 2017 Belmont Stakes Odds

  • Classic Empire – 3/2
  • Lookin At Lee – 6/1
  • Irish War Cry – 8/1
  • Senior Investment – 10/1
  • Tapwrit – 10/1
  • Ephicharis – 12/1
  • Twisted Tom – 15/1
  • Gormly – 15/1
  • Conquest Mo Money – 20/1
  • J Boyz Echo – 20/1
  • Multiplier – 20/1
  • Patch – 20/1
  • Meantime – 30/1
  • True Timber – 40/1

What is a trifecta bet?

You bet a trifecta by selecting a minimum three horses to finish first, second, and third. These horses must finish first, second, and third, in that exact order, for you to win the wager.

If picking three horses in order sounds too difficult you can “box” your wager. A boxed trifecta wager will win if your horses finish 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, in any order, making it more likely to win.

The minimum bet for a trifecta wager is only 50 cents and you can bet a trifecta box for as little as $3.

2017 Belmont Stakes Trifecta Key Horse Picks:  Irish War Cry 8/1, Tapwrit 10/1

I love Tapwrit. I think that Todd Pletcher is going to have the son of Tapit on his toes for the June 10 Belmont Stakes. Last year, Pletcher skipped the Preakness with Destin after running Destin in the Derby. Destin almost won the Belmont Stakes. Creator beat him by a nose. I think Tapwrit could win the Belmont Stakes on June 10.

But, it’s hard for me to leave Irish War Cry out of the top spot in the trifecta. From my perspective, Irish War Cry has as big of a shot of winning the Belmont Stakes as Tapwrit does. The big son of Curlin had one of the more impressive runs in the Kentucky Derby. He only faded after hitting the worst part of the racetrack, about 2 to 3 horses off the rail in the stretch. I must use the Wood Memorial winner on top as well.

2017 Belmont Stakes Trifecta Place Picks

  • Classic Empire 3/2 – The two-year-old champ deserves to win the Belmont. I think he’s the best three-year-old in the nation. But, the Belmont is his third race in 5 weeks. He could just be too tired to win the Test of Champions.
  • Irish War Cry 8/1
  • Tapwrit 10/1
  • Epicharis 12/1 – He’s got class for days. I also like his style of running, near the front, which means he won’t be compromised if the pace is slow.
  • Gormley 15/1 – If he’s grown up some, matured physically, he can pull off the upset. I can’t afford to make him a key horse on top, though. I’ve only got enough funds for two.
  • Patch 20/1 – He’s another I’d consider as a key horse in the trifecta. The Belmont will only be his fifth-lifetime race. Tapwrit just has more seasoning. Then again, Patch is a talented runner. Decisions, decisions…

2017 Belmont Stakes Trifecta Show Picks

  • Classic Empire 3/2
  • Lookin At Lee 6/1 – I think he finishes off the board. But, just in case, I should probably use him. I mean, he’s proven me wrong twice already.
  • Irish War Cry 8/1
  • Senior Investment 10/1 – I’m not a big fan of Senior Investment, either. But, he blew me out of the Preakness because I thought he was the only horse that couldn’t finish in the tri. I won’t make that mistake again!
  • Tapwrit 10/1
  • Epicharis 12/1
  • Gormley 15/1
  • Patch 20/1

Early 2017 Belmont Stakes Trifecta Ticket

I’m using Irish War Cry and Tapwrit on top. I must take a shot at Classic Empire. Because I’ve got 2 key horses on top in my trifecta, I’m only adding 4 new horses in the place slot, and 2 new horses into the show slot. My trifecta ticket will look like this:

$1 Trifecta

Irish War Cry, Tapwrit w/Classic Empire, Irish War Cry, Tapwrit, Epicharis, Gormley, Patch w/Classic Empire, Lookin At Lee, Irish War Cry, Senior Investment, Tapwrit, Epicharis, Gormley, Patch

Total Trifecta Cost = $60

Early 2017 Belmont Stakes Superfecta Pick

Early 2017 Belmont Stakes Superfecta Pick

I’m excited about the Belmont Stakes Superfecta. Based on the early odds, Classic Empire should be a huge favorite. Since I’m not using Classic Empire on top, the below superfecta could pay yuge. I’m only spending $80 on my superfecta play. Check out what I’m thinking based on the early odds!

Early 2017 Belmont Stakes Odds

  • Classic Empire – 3/2
  • Lookin At Lee – 6/1
  • Irish War Cry – 8/1
  • Senior Investment – 10/1
  • Tapwrit – 10/1
  • Ephicharis – 12/1
  • Twisted Tom – 15/1
  • Gormly – 15/1
  • Conquest Mo Money – 20/1
  • J Boyz Echo – 20/1
  • Multiplier – 20/1
  • Patch – 20/1
  • Meantime – 30/1
  • True Timber – 40/1

What Is A Superfecta?

A superfecta is the granddaddy of Belmont Stakes exotic bets, forcing you to pick the first four finishers in order, but by boxing your selections, they can finish in any combination. This also allows you to choose more than four runners, for an increased cost, of course.

2017 Belmont Stakes Trifecta Key Horse Picks:  Irish War Cry 8/1, Tapwrit 10/1

Trainer Graham Motion is one of the better horsemen in the United States. He can really get them ready to run. Irish War Cry ran into the worst part of the track during the Kentucky Derby. That’s why he faded. It also didn’t help that he went wide around both turns. The last time Motion put Irish War Cry into a race after a bad race, he easily won the Wood Memorial. Lightning could strike twice.

Tapwrit has all the looks of a Belmont Stakes winner. Tapit sired Tapwrit. Tapit sired Creator who won the 2016 Belmont Stakes. Not only that, but Todd Pletcher, no matter how Always Dreaming performed in the Preakness Stakes, remains one of the Top 2 trainers in the U.S. The other top trainer is Bob Baffert.
Pletcher’s going to have Tapwrit ready to roll.

2017 Belmont Stakes Trifecta Key Horse Place Picks

  • Classic Empire 3/2 – If the 3/2 chalk beats my superfecta wager, so be it. He’s as deserving of a Triple Crown Race winner as any horse I have seen. He dominated the Derby winner in the Preakness Stakes a couple of weeks ago. It wasn’t even close. He pretty much looked Always Dreaming in the eye and laughed at that horse. But, the Belmont is at 1 ½ miles. This guy ran his heart out at Pimlico. I just don’t see how he comes up huge at Big Sandy after running two tough races like the Derby and the Preakness.
  • Irish War Cry 8/1
  • Tapwrit 10/1

2017 Belmont Stakes Trifecta Key Horse Show Picks

  • Classic Empire 3/2
  • Irish War Cry 8/1
  • Tapwrit 10/1
  • Epicharis 12/1 – He’s a must use because his Japanese connections decided to keep him out of the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes. You only put your horse in a 1 ½ mile race if you really, truly, believe your horse has a shot.
  • Gormley 15/1 – The man who trained Zenyatta, John Shirreffs, knows what he’s doing. This is a trainer that sits on his horse for 3, 4, even 6 months if he thinks the horse isn’t ready. Shirreffs doesn’t mess around. If Gormley shows up in the starting gate, take him seriously.
  • Patch 20/1 – Don’t be surprised if Patch is the Pletcher runner that wins the Belmont Stakes on June 10. After jockey Tyler Gafflione realized that there was no way for Patch to get into the Top 4 on Derby Day, he laid off the one-eyed horse. I believe this Union Rags colt has a ton of talent.

2017 Belmont Stakes Trifecta Key Horse Fourth Slot Picks

  • Classic Empire 3/2
  • Lookin At Lee 6/1 – Oh, I know. He could finish third and blow out my superfecta ticket. But, if I’m putting 2 horses in the win slot, I can’t spread in the show slot. I’m hoping he only kicks up to fourth like he did in the Preakness Stakes.
  • Irish War Cry 8/1
  • Senior Investment 10/1 – Will Senior Investment be the bane of my superfecta ticket the way he was the bane of my trifecta ticket for the Preakness Stakes? Probably. But, like Lookin At Lee, I can’t afford to put him into the show slot.
  • Tapwrit 10/1
  • Epicharis 12/1
  • Gormley 15/1
  • Patch 20/1

Early 2017 Belmont Stakes Superfecta Ticket

$1 Superfecta

I’m using Irish War Cry and Tapwrit in the win slot. I’m only adding Classic Empire in the place slot. Then, I’m adding Epicharis, Patch, and Gormley in the show slot, before only adding Lookin At Lee and Senior Investment in the fourth slot. My superfecta ticket will look like this:

Irish War Cry, Tapwrit w/Classic Empire, Irish War Cry, Tapwrit w/Classic Empire, Irish War Cry, Tapwrit, Epicharis, Gormley, Patch w/ Classic Empire, Looking At Lee, Irish War Cry, Senior Investment, Tapwrit, Epicharis, Gormley, Patch
Total Superfecta Cost = $80
