Week #2 has started, and with the 2006-2007 NBA season fully under way, teams from around the league are trying to establish an early dominance. The Los Angeles Lakers, led by Kobe Bryant, are tied for first in their division. The Lakers have two tough road games ahead, as they travel to Minnesota on Wednesday and then Philadelphia on Friday. In the Eastern Conference, the Detroit Pistons and the Washington Wizards remain undefeated. While the Wizards will enjoy the comfort of home versus the Los Angeles Clippers and the Seattle Supersonics, Detroit will be traveling to Phoenix and then onto Portland for their Friday night matchup. The NBA season is upon us, so check out all the current lines at LIVE LINES
Don’t forget this week we get football every day!!! Thursday has #20 Fresno State hosting Boise State, in a big WAC matchup. Both teams are 5-0 and looking to lock up the Conference, but the Bulldogs are ranked and the Broncos will look to take them out of the top 25. On Friday, Louisville hosts Rutgers, and the big game for Saturday’s line up has to be The #5 LSU Tigers heading into the home of the Crimson Tide, #4 Alabama. 'Bama is 9-0 on the year and 6-0 in the SEC. LSU has had a tough season, dealing with many players suffering serious personal loss in Hurricane Katrina. A loss here would eliminate them from the conference title chase. The Tigers boast the #6 ranked defense, and Alabama will continue to be without its star receiver Tyrone Prothro, so it looks like an upset in the making.
This week, in the NFL, old rivalries will be rekindled. At 4:15 pm EST, the Denver Broncos head into Raider Nation and home of the Oakland Raiders. Expect hard hits and big plays as some of the best players in the league will be on the field for this one. Sunday night boasts the Cleveland Browns, and rejuvenated RB Reuben Droughns, versus the yellow and black of the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Terrible Towels will be waving, as the home crowd will try and ignite its red hot Steeler team. Monday Night Football will have the Dallas Cowboys traveling to Philadelphia to face the TO-less Eagles. Philly is coming off a tough loss to the Washington Redskins, and will look to get back on track while playing in front of their home crowd. However, Bill Parcels has his old QB, Drew Bledsoe, at the helm, and this Cowboy team looks headed fro the post season. Game time is 9:00 pm EST on ABC.
