Time: 6 pm ET
Speeday: Charlotte Motor Speedway
Location: Concord, North Carolina

The Coca-Cola 600, is an annual 600-mile (965.606 km) NASCAR Sprint Cup Series points race held at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina during Memorial Day weekend.  The first race was ran back in 1960, when Joe Lee Johnson claimed the inaugural event victory. The race is going to take place at the Charlotte Motor Speedway this Sunday May 28th, 2017 at 6:00 am ET.

Charlotte Motor Speedway is located in Concord, North Carolina, to the north of Charlotte. It features a 1.5 mile long quad-oval track that seats 165,000 people, with room for 50,000 more spectators in the infield. Constructed in 1959, it was the first speedway to host nighttime superspeedway racing (in 1992) in the"modern era," the first being the now defunct Raleigh, N.C. Speedway in 1958. The speedway is considered the home base of NASCAR, with 90% of NASCAR teams being based within 50 miles.

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame band Lynyrd Skynyrd will salute America with the ultimate Memorial Day Weekend, performing for all the race fans classic hits and rock anthems "Free Bird" and "Sweet Home Alabama" on the Pit Party stage on pit road. "We can't wait to get to rocking with all the race fans," lead singer Johnny Van Zant said. "This is going to be one of the coolest concerts we'll play all year. It's not often that you get the chance to perform before something as true-blue American as the Coca-Cola 600. Everybody had better be ready because it's going to get wild."
