The Go bowling.com 400 is the second of two NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stock car races held at the Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, Pennsylvania. Starting in 2007, the race was moved from its traditional July date into August, swapping dates with the Brickyard 400.
For this year it was announced that the race would be 100 miles shorter bringing the race down to 400 miles. The Go Bowling 400 is one of two races held at Pocono Raceway and the other being the Pocono500.
The Go Bowling 400 comes in the heat of the summer, usually early August, right after the Brickyard 400, in Indianapolis. Pocono Raceway is considered one of NASCAR's most competitive raceways. Pocono's unique 2.5 mile track features three turns, with different degrees of banking making it a tough track for any driver.
