Detroit travels to Seattle for Week 4’s Monday Night Game. Detroit is desperate for a victory after starting out the season 0 and 3. For Detroit, they just don’t appear close to being as good as the same team that made the playoffs last season.
Seattle finally got a win in Week 3 against the Chicago Bears. Seattle will be looking to make it 2 in a row. If the Seahawks can win, they’ll be at 2 and 2, which will put them right back into the conversation for the NFC West and the NFC Conference.

Why Bet On Detroit to Beat Seattle (-10)
The Lions are in trouble if the Seahawks know their plays.
Although Seattle’s defense is ranked third in the NFL in total yards allowed at 286.3 per game, the defense doesn’t appear to be as tough as it has been the past two seasons. Seattle’s defense is giving up 100.3 rushing yards per game.
Lions WR Golden Tate said Tuesday that opposing players have told him they know what plays are coming during games. http://t.co/pbOs4ceETM

Detroit only averages 45 rushing yards per game. But the number doesn’t really tell us how well Detroit’s offense matches up with Seattle’s defense. If Detroit commits to the running game, especially by giving the ball to RB Ameer Abdullah, they should approach 100 rushing yards in this one. The Lions also have two very good receivers in Golden Tate and Calvin Johnson. Detroit might be able to put some points on the board versus the Seahawks.

Marshawn Lynch is 50/50 to play against the Lions with a hamstring injury
It’s impossible to beat Seattle at home. The Seahawks are one of the top teams in the NFL as it is. When they play at home, they might be the best team in the NFL.
Over the years, the Seahawks simply haven’t lost at Citi Field. In 2012, Seattle went 8 and 0 at home. In 2014, the Seahawks went 7 and 1 at home. Their only loss was to Arizona. In 2015, Seattle went 7 and 1 at home again. Their only loss at home was an early season game to Dallas.
The question is whether or not Seattle’s loss this season at home will be to the Detroit Lions. The answer is probably no, it won’t. Now, the question is what about the point spread? Seattle is giving up 10 points to a Lions team that has some talent on offense.

Seattle is definitely the better team, but will they outscore Detroit by 10 points? They were favored by 16.5 points over Chicago in Week 3. The Seahawks got 4 field goals from kicker Steve Hauschka. They scored only a single touchdown, a beautiful 30 yard pass from Russell Wilson to Jimmy Graham. Their other touchdown was scored via a 109 kickoff run back for a touchdown on special teams.
If Detroit can rush the football, they might keep it close. Seattle will win the game, but Detroit will cover the spread. My final score prediction is Seattle 23, Detroit 14.
