NBA Best Bets Nov 30th to Dec 6th

The NBA keeps humming along. And, surprisingly, so does Golden State who is undefeated at 18 and 0 to start the week.

Golden State shows up in this Saturday’s top NBA Best Bet of the week article. Can Golden State keep one of the most remarkable runs in the history of any of the top four sports going? Toronto is the third of a five game road trip for the Warriors. Another team that has surprised basketball handicappers is New York. The Knicks take on Brooklyn in a game this Friday. Dallas plays Washington in Sunday’s game of the week.

A Closer Look At The NBA’s Best Bets Nov 30th to Dec 6th

Brooklyn at New York Knicks
When:  Friday, Dec. 4

Record-wise, Brooklyn has been one of the worst teams in the NBA this season. The Nets are only 4 and 13. That’s absolutely horrible. Brooklyn doesn’t have much of anything on their team. Two of their best players, Joe Johnson and Jarrett Jack, are both over 30. Johnson is 34 years old. Jack is 32 years old. Brook Lopez, their best player, is 27 but he’s on old 27 having suffered through a ton of injuries already.

By contrast, the New York Knicks have one of the top young players in the NBA. Kristaps Porzingis, who averages 13.9 points, 19.3 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game, was born in 1995. Porzingis leads what can be a dominating front line when Carmelo Anthony is on his game and Robin Lopez is working hard to grab rebounds. Melo is out to start the week due to an illness. He should be ready by Friday.

Pick: New York Knicks

Golden State at Toronto
When: Saturday, Dec. 5

Golden State plays Utah and Charlotte on the road before taking on Toronto on the road this Saturday. The Warriors have been nothing short of amazing. As a team, the Warriors shoot 49% from the field. That’s unbelievable.

It’s hard to imagine Golden State keeping up this pace. They will likely beat Utah and Charlotte to go to 20 and 0. But, then, things could get tough against Toronto. The Raptors don’t shoot as well as the Warriors from the field, but they have the guards in Kyle Lowry and DeMar Derozan to make like difficult for Steph Curry and Klay Thompson. Derozan has the ability to score with Curry while Lowry is one of the best point-guards in the league. Expect Golden State to lose its first game of the season on Saturday.

Pick: Toronto

Dallas at Washington
When: Sunday, Dec. 6

Dallas has gone 7 and 3 in their last 10 after starting out the season by losing 3 out of their first 5 games. The Mavericks have definitely turned things around. Wesley Matthews is healthy. That helps. Plus, Deron Williams has turned into a decent point-guard again. Plus, the Mavs have a deep bench.

The same can’t be said for the Wizards. Unless starting guards John Wall and Bradley Beal both have excellent games, the Wizards will not win. The defense is horrible. It gives up 105.1 points per game. Opponents average close to 40% from the three-point line and over 46% from the field against Washington. Dallas runs away with it.

Pick: Dallas

NHL Best Bets of the Week Jan 25-31

NHL Best Bets Nov 30th to Dec 6th

The NHL keeps moving along with top matchups week in and week out. This week some of the best in the East battle some of the best in the West.

St. Louis, a top Western Conference team, takes on the New York Islanders on Wednesday. Sunday sees a great battle between another top West team in Los Angeles hosting a top East team in Tampa Bay. The other best bet of the week occurs on Saturday when Nashville battles Detroit.

A Closer Look At The NHL’s Best Bets Nov 30th to Dec 6th

St. Louis at New York Islanders
When:  Friday, Dec. 4

St Louis starts out the week somewhat cold. The Blues have gone 5 and 5 in their last 10 matches. St. Louis will be looking to turn around their win-loss pattern in their last 4 by beating Florida on Dec. 1 and then beating the Islanders on Dec. 4.

The last time that these 2 teams met, St. Louis lost 2 to 3 in overtime. That was on Oct. 24. St. Louis has a great shot of turning the tables on the Islanders in this game since the Islanders have to battle the rival New York Rangers just 2 days before taking on the Blues. Expect that tough game for the Islanders to take some sting out their puck shots for this Friday matchup.

Pick: St. Louis

Nashville at Detroit
When:  Saturday, Dec. 5

Nashville is in a bad place going into this week. The Predators have lost 5 out of their last 6. Only a 3 to 2 win over Buffalo on the road on Nov. 25 can be looked at as a positive for the Preds.

The Red Wings go into the week off of a 3 and 2 record. The Wings are a decent but not great 6-5-3 at home this season. These 2 teams haven’t met since last October when Detroit beat Nashville 4 to 3. The difference with these 2 teams as opposed to last February’s 2 teams is that Nashville doesn’t have the surprise factor like they did last season. Still, the Preds will turn this around. They’re too good of a team not too. It makes sense to back them against a Detroit team that doesn’t always play its best hockey at home.

Pick: Nashville

Tampa Bay at Los Angeles
When: Sunday, Dec. 6

On Nov. 25 the Kings lost 2 to 1 to Tampa Bay in a shootout. The Kings’ defense is currently ranked second in goals against at 2.1 per match, sixth in shots against at 28.4 and eighth in penalty kills at 83.9%.

Tampa Bay’s defense is good as well except the Lightning kill penalties at a bit over 76%. That difference in penalty kill percentage should give this game to L.A. That and the fact that the last game was in Tampa Bay while this game is at the Staples Center will also help the Kings.

Pick:  Los Angeles

NFL Week 13 Parlay Picks – Bet The Broncos, Vikings & Chiefs

There is about a month left in the NFL Regular Season. You have precious few weeks left to build up you NFL betting bank roll using my weekly football parlay picks. Let’s stop wasting time.

The first game in this week’s parlay has Denver taking on San Diego. The Broncos handed New England their first loss of the season this past Sunday night. In the second parlay game, Minnesota hosts Seattle. The third parlay game has Kansas City traveling to Oakland. Don’t forget about my NFL week 13 bonus 6-team parlay pick at the end of my post.

NFL Week 13 Two-Team Parlay Pick

  • Denver -4.5
  • Minnesota +1

What: Denver Broncos (9-2) at San Diego Chargers (3-8)
When: Sunday, December 6, 2015
Kickoff: 4:05 PM ET
Where: San Diego, CA
Stadium: Qualcomm Stadium
Weather: 74° F | More Sun Than Clouds
Spread: Broncos -4
Moneyline: Broncos -225 vs Chargers +185
Game Total: 43.5
Watch: CBS
Stream: CBS Sports
Listen: Denver vs San Diego

The Broncos showed exactly why they are a better team with Brock Osweiler at QB than they are with Peyton Manning. Yes, New England managed to force Osweiler into a 23 of 42 night and Osweiler did throw a pick, but he managed the game expertly well in the final 2 minutes in order to get the Broncos into the end zone. Tom Brady did his best. Unfortunately for the Pats, RB C.J. Anderson ran for 48 yards in overtime to seal a 30 to 24 Denver win.

Anderson also caught 4 Osweiler passes for 40 yards. He figures to start against San Diego’s maligned defense. The Chargers are giving up a ridiculous 27.9 points per game. Denver should have no trouble covering this spread.

Pick: Denver

What: Seattle Seahawks (6-5) at Minnnesota Vikings (8-3)
When: Sunday, December 6, 2015
Kickoff: 1:00 PM ET
Where: Minneapolis, MN
Stadium: TCF Bank Stadium
Weather: N/A
Spread: Seahawks -1
Moneyline: Seattle -119 vs Minnesota -101
Game Total: 41.5
Watch: FOX
Stream: Fox Sports Go
Listen: Seattle vs Minnesota

Everybody is backing Seattle to make it to the playoffs. Why not? The NFC East is a mess. Outside of Carolina, the NFC South is horrible. Green Bay is falling apart.

But the Vikings have one of the better defenses in the NFL. Minnesota allows 17.6 points per game. That ranks the Vikings 2nd in points allowed per game. Minnesota’s offense is also very good when Teddy Bridgewater is playing within himself, which he did in Minnesota’s 20 to 10 win over the Falcons in Week 12. Seattle will be without tight-end Jimmy Graham for the rest of the season. Minnesota wins this by more than 3 points.

Pick: Minnesota

NFL Week 13 Three-Team Parlay

  • Denver -4.5
  • Minnesota +1
  • Kansas City -3

What: Kansas City Chiefs (6-5) at Oakland Raiders (5-6)
When: Sunday, December 6, 2015
Kickoff: 4:05 PM ET
Where: Oakland, CA
Stadium: Coliseum
Weather: 58° F | Cloudy
Spread: Raiders -3
Moneyline: Kansas City -159 vs Oakland +125
Game Total: 44
Watch: CBS
Stream: CBS Sports
Listen: Kansas City vs Oakland

This game comes down to Kansas City’s defense versus Oakland’s offense. Oakland’s defense is actually pretty good. It’s ranked 8th in the NFL in yards per game via the pass at 266.7. The Raiders score 24 points per game.

KC’s defense allows 20 points per game. Teams average only 335.4 yards per game against KC’s D. Only 1 team has scored more than 18 points versus KC’s D in the Chiefs’ last 7 games. That was Buffalo who scored 22 in Week 12.

Pick: Kansas City

NFL Week 13 Bonus 6-Team Parlay Pick

  • Denver  -4.5
  • Minnesota +1
  • Kansas City -3
  • Detroit (TNF) +3
  • Arizona -5.5
  • Washington -4
