Bet FSU vs Duke College Hoops

After putting together a seven-game winning streak, the 17th-ranked Duke Blue Devils have dropped two in a row. They will look to bounce back when they host the 15th-ranked Florida State Seminoles in a game that is all about positioning for the postseason.

The betting line has not yet been released with the status of Duke junior guard Grayson Allen up in the air. He sat out Saturday’s loss at Miami while nursing an ankle injury.

Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski said Allen took part in a Sunday workout. The goal is for the team’s third-leading scorer (15.0 points per game) to play, the coach said.

"I wish we had more certainty," Krzyzewski said

Tip-off is this Tuesday, February 28th at 7:00 PM ET on ESPN from the Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham, North Carolina.

These two met back on January 10th, when the Seminoles won 88-72. Krzyzewski didn’t accompany the team to the first meeting with Florida State because he was less than a week removed from hip surgery.

Why Bet The Florida State Seminoles To Beat The Blue Devils

The Florida State Seminoles have won two in a row, including a win over Clemson (76-74) in their last outing. They are 26-6 SU and 19-9 ATS this season. They average 84.1 points per game (15th) and allow 71.6 points per game (156th).

The Seminoles shoot 48.9% from the field (14th) and 36.6% from beyond the arch (108th). Against Clemson, junior guard Xavier Rathan-Mayes (10.3 PPG & 4.5 APG) led the Seminoles with 15 points. He shot 5-12 from the field. Sophomore guard Dwayne Bacon (16.6 PPG & 3.9 APG) added 12 points.

"Knowing we can get down on the road and win in tough situations and play the way we did (today) is definitely optimistic for us," said Rathan-Mayes, who scored 13 of his 15 points in the second half.

Florida State averages 37.5 rebounds per game (tied-89th), 15.2 (tied-74th) and 7.59 steals. They have a +12.52 point differential this season. Freshman forward Jonathan Isaac leads the team with 7.3 rebounds per game and 1.2 steals.

Why Bet The Duke Blue Devils To Beat The Seminoles

Duke has lost their last two games, including a 55-50 defeat at the hands of Miami on the weekend. They are 22-7 SU and 11-17 ATS this season. They average 80.6 points per game (tied-32nd) and allow 68.4 points per game (79th).

The Blue Devils shoot 47.5% from the field (41st) and 37.5% from three-point land (65th). Sophomore guard Luke Kennard (19.9 PPG & 5.2 RPG) scored 16 points against the Hurricanes. Freshman guard (9.9 PPG & 2.3 RPG) also put up 16 points coming off the bench. No other player for Duke reached double digits.

"We’ve got to get well," Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski said. "All these games are important, but we’ve got to get him well."

Duke averages 37.0 rebounds (tied-111th), 13.9 assists (tied-149th), and 5.86 steals per game. The Devils have a +12.21 point differential this season. Senior forward Amile Jefferson leads the team with 8.8 rebounds per game and senior guard Matt Jones is tops with 1.6 steals.

If You Still Can’t Decide Who To Bet On:

  • Blue Devils are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games following a straight up loss.
  • Blue Devils are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games as a favorite.
  • Blue Devils are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record.
  • Duke has lost only once in 15 home games this season.
  • Seminoles are 8-0-1 ATS in their last 9 Tuesday games.
  • Florida State is 1-2 in ACC road games this month.

FSU vs Duke Pick:

Duke hasn’t had a three-game losing streak this season, but the Blue Devils suffered road losses to Syracuse and Miami last week and I am betting the Seminoles hand Duke that third loss.

Why Bet The Indiana Hoosiers To Beat The Boilermakers

Indiana barely squeaked past Northwestern, 63-62, in their last outing. That win pushed them to 16-13 SU and 11-16-1 ATS this season. The Hoosiers had lost five in a row before the win. They average 80.1 points per game (40th) and allow 72.2 points per game (181st).

Indiana shoots 47.8% from the field (34th) and 37.2% from beyond the arc (81st). Junior guard James Blackmon Jr. (16.9 PPG & 4.6 RPG) shot 4-11 from the field and 3-6 from three points to lead his team with 13 points versus Northwestern. Center Thomas Bryant (13.0 PPG & 7.1 RPG) added 11 points in a perdestrian night.

"You’ve got to have some reward for the hard stretch we’ve gone through," Crean said. "The reward is resiliency."

The Hoosiers average 39.8 rebounds per game (17th), 14.3 assists (127th) and 6.41 steals. Their point differential is at +7.83. Center Thomas Bryant leads the team with 7.0 rebounds and sophomore forward OG Anunoby is tops with 1.3 steals per game.

Why Bet The Purdue Boilermakers To Beat The Hoosiers

Purdue inexplicably lost 82-70 to Michigan, dropping to 23-6 SU and 16-13 ATS this season. They average 80.7 points per game (30th) and give up 66.7 points per game (55th).

The Boilermakers average 48.1% shooting from the field (28th) and 41.0% from three point land (5th). Against Michigan, sophomore forward Caleb Swanigan (18.6 PPG & 12.6 PPG) led the team with 18 points, but it wasn’t nearly enough. Freshman guard Carsen Edwards (10.6 PPG & 2.7 RPG) also added 18 points coming off the bench.

Purdue averages 38.5 rebounds per game (50th), 18.4 assists (2nd) and 5.08 steals. They have a +13.9-point differential. Swanigan leads the team with 13.9 rebounds per game and freshman guard Carsen Edwards is tops with 1.1 steals.

If You Still Can’t Decide Who To Bet On:

  • Boilermakers are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 Tuesday games.
  • Boilermakers are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games following an ATS loss.
  • Boilermakers are 21-8-1 ATS in their last 30 games as a home favorite.
  • Hoosiers are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 Tuesday games.

Indiana Vs Purdue ATS Pick

Purdue needs to win to clinch at least a share of the school’s 23rd regular-season conference championship and the first since the 2009-2010 team shared the title with Michigan State and Ohio State.

I am betting on the Hoosiers to keep this game close, but I fully expect the Boilermakers to win and sweep the season series.

NBA Picks Feb 27- March 5

NBA Picks Feb 27- March 5

My NBA betting picks this week tip-off onWednesday, March 1st when Cleveland travels to Boston to battle the Celtics in what could be a preview of the Eastern Conference Finals. Will it be LeBron and the Cavs or Isaiah and the Celtics to come out on top? Then, on Saturday, the L.A. Clippers travel to Chicago to battle the Bulls. Who takes home the win in ABC’s Saturday Night NBA Game? On Sunday, Oklahoma City takes on Dallas. Will Dallas’ defense find a way to contain the great Russell Westbrook?

NBA Picks Feb 27- March 5

Cleveland at Boston
When:  Wednesday, March 1 at 8:00 pm ET
Where: TD Garden, Boston, MA

Analysis: ESPN’s primetime game on Wednesday has Boston battling Cleveland. LeBron, Kyrie, Tristan Thompson, and Kyle Korver have held down the fort while both J.R. Smith and Kevin Love recover from injuries.

Cleveland had won 4 games in a row before LeBron took Saturday off due to illness. Even if LeBron isn’t available on Monday when the Cavs take on the Milwaukee Bucks, he’ll be available to take on the Celtics in the Garden on March 1.

Still, it’s hard for me to look past Boston winning this match up. The last time the Celtics played the Cavs, Kevin Love scored 30 points and grabbed 15 rebounds. Love is out in Wednesday’s match up.

My money is on the Celtics to get the “W”.

Pick: Boston

L.A. Clippers at Chicago
When:  Saturday, March 4 at 8:30 pm ET
Where: United Center, Chicago, IL

Analysis: Chicago versus the L.A. Clippers could be an exciting match up this Saturday. Chicago has won 4 games in a row, including 2 in a row since trading Taj Gibson. Chicago fans must love that Nikola Mirotic scored 14 points and grabbed 10 boards in less than 30 minutes versus Cleveland this past Saturday.

But, beating the Cavaliers without LeBron is much different than beating the Clippers at full strength. Since returning, Chris Paul hasn’t yet hit his stride. That should change this Saturday. Chicago doesn’t match up with a team as skilled as the Clippers.

I’m backing LAC.

Pick: L.A. Clippers

Oklahoma City at Dallas
When:  Sunday, March 5 at 8:30 pm ET
Where: American Airlines Center, Dallas, TX

Analysis: Oklahoma City travels to Dallas to battle the new look Mavericks. The Mavs made one of the smartest trades of 2017 before the deadline. They acquired Nerlens Noel from Philadelphia. Noel has the skills to be a decent enforcer for Dallas. He concentrates on the defensive side of the court while pulling down both offensive and defensive boards.

Noel doesn’t start. But, what he can do is give Dirk Nowitzki breaks during a game. When Dirk is fresh in the 4th quarter, he’s still one of the deadliest close-out basketball players in the league.

I appreciate how good Oklahoma City is. I’m feeling good about how the Mavericks are coming together, though. With Noel holding the middle, and Dirk keeping his legs under him until the final quarter, I think the Mavs are worth a shot on the moneyline as a home dog.

Pick: Dallas moneyline
