Why Bet The Philadelphia Eagles To Beat The Panthers

Philly’s only loss came at Kansas City, the NFL’s lone undefeated team. The Eagles are ranked third offensively in yards (397.8) and sixth in points (27.4). Sophomore QB Carson Wentz is the reason why.

The young QB completed 21 of 30 passes for 304 yards and four touchdowns against a stout Cardinals defense last week. Wentz has thrown for nearly 1,400 yards and 10 touchdowns, with three interceptions, over the first five games. He has established himself as a leader and tone-setter.

The Panthers defense has allowed 28.5 points in their last two wins against the Patriots and the Lions. The Panthers’s defensive backs won’t scare Wentz.

Why Bet The Carolina Panthers To Beat The Eagles

Over the past two games, Cam Newton is a frightening 48 of 62 passing (that’s a completion rate of 77.4 percent) for 671 yards with seven total touchdowns against one measly pick. What’s more, he is averaging a ridonkulous 10.9 yards per attempt over the last fornight. Newton in MVP-form is a big reason to bet the Panthers week in, week out.

“He’s doing some really good things right now,” coach Ron Rivera said. “He’s really in sync with his receivers.”

The Eagles defense struggled against Alex Smith, Eli Manning, and Philip Rivers. While Smith may be the only QB in Newton’s league out of that trio, he isn’t as mobile as the Panthers’ star. Mobile quarterbacks have the ability to mitigate Philadelphia’s pass rush to some extent. Keeping him contained will be a big challenge for the Birds.

If You Still Can’t Decide Who To Bet On

  • Eagles are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. NFC.
  • Eagles are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games in Week 6.
  • Panthers are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games as a home favorite of 0.5-3.0.
  • Panthers are 12-5 ATS in their last 17 games in October.

Eagles Vs. Panthers Week 6 Betting Analysis

The Eagles haven’t been a great team away from home lately. Philadelphia is 3-7 ATS in its last ten games on the road. Luke Kuechly and co are great at pressuring the quarterback. Plus on a short week, it would be crazy to go with the road team. Take the Panthers to win and cover the spread.

Expert Picks NFL Week 6

Expert Picks NFL Week 6

Do you need the inside info on a few good Week 6 expert picks? I have a trio of picks that fit the bill perfectly!

Can Jay Cutler and the Miami Dolphins put enough points on the board to keep up with Matt Ryan and the explosive Atlanta Falcons?

Can Hue Jackson’s Cleveland Browns finally pick up a win against Deshaun Watson and the Houston Texans?

Are the surprisingly feisty New York Jets in trouble when they face Tom Brady and a semi-desperate New England Patriots team in their Week 6 AFC East divisional matchup?

5 ⭐ Expert Picks NFL Week 6

Miami Dolphins (2-2) at Atlanta Falcons (3-1)
When: Sunday, October 15, 2017 at 1:00 PM ET
Where: Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, Georgia
NFL Odds: Atlanta -11
Total: 47

Analysis: The Miami Dolphins may have picked up an oh-so-exciting (Not!) 16-10 win over a Tennessee Titans team that was without starting quarterback Marcus Mariota tis past weekend, but they damned sure aren’t going to score enough points to keep up with Matt Ryan and an Atlanta Falcons team that is looking to light up the scoreboard after getting stunned by Buffalo 23-17 in Week 4 and is well rested after a bye this past weekend.

Miami has scored 22 total points over their last three games and looks mostly inept while averaging all of 10.3 points this season under the guidance of the pitiful Jay Cutler while Atlanta puts 26.0 points per game on the board with the greatest of ease!

The Dolphins are 3-8 ATS vs. a team with a winning record and just 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games after racking up less than 250 total yards of offense in their previous game.

Matt Ryan and the Falcons are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following an ATS loss and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a bye week. Atlanta wins and easily covers the chalk making the Falcons my top Week 6 NFL expert pick.

Expert Pick Week 6: Atlanta -11

Cleveland Browns (0-5) at Houston Texans (2-3)
When: Sunday, October 15, 2017 at 1:00 PM ET
Where: NRG Stadium, Houston, Texas
NFL Odds: Houston -10
Total: 44.5

Analysis: The Houston Texans may have lost superstar defensive end J.J. Watt to a likely season-ending knee injury, but they’ve still got a quarterback that looks like a mixture of Joe Montana and Fran Tarkenton in seriously gifted rookie Deshaun Watson.

I said it before and I’ll say it again. While No. 1 overall pick Myles Garrett is undoubtedly the ‘real deal’ he just can’t change the course of a game or franchise like Watson can at quarterback. The Browns – and every other team that needed a quarterback – seriously blew it by not drafting Watson with the No. 1 overall pick and now the Browns are going to pay for it in this Week 7 matchup.

The Browns are 1-7 ATS in their L/8 games against a team with a losing record, 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games in the month of October and a winless 0-5-1 ATS in their last 6 road games.

Houston has gone 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight-up loss and 19-6-2 ATS in their last 27 games after racking up more than 350 yards of total offense in their previous game. That is more than enough to make the Texans one of my Week 6 NFL expert betting picks.

Expert Pick Week 6: Houston -10

New England Patriots (3-2) at New York Jets (3-2)
When: Sunday, October 15, 2017 at 1:00 PM ET
Where: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, New Jersey
NFL Odds: New England -9.5
Total: 47.5

Analysis: While the New York Jets have played some pretty inspiring football to record a winning record after five weeks, I believe that Todd Bowles’ team is going down and going down hard against Tom Brady and a New England Patriots team that is borderline desperate after their identical 3-2 start after five games.

The Patriots finally showed they could play come competent defense in beating Tampa Bay 19-14 in Week 5 and while the Jets got past Cleveland 17-14 last weekend, they certainly didn’t look that good in beating the lowly Browns. The Patriots have won five of the last six meetings against the Jets and again, have a bit of desperation that I think will drive them to get the outright win by double digits to cover the spread.

Tom Brady and company are a perfect 6-0 ATS in their last six road games against a team with a winning home record, a near-perfect 10-1 ATS in their last 11 road games and 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games against a team with a winning record. The New York Jets are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games after allowing more than 250 yards passing in their previous game and I believe they’re due for a spanking even though they’ve played some really good football this season.

The Pats are my last NFL Week 6 expert pick.

Expert Pick Week 6: New England -9.5

NFL Playoff Expert Picks Divisional Round

Upset Picks NFL Week 6 – Betting The Underdogs

If you’re looking for upset betting value as Week 6 of the 2017 NFL regular season approaches, then look no further.

Can Carson Palmer and the Arizona Cardinals rebound from their emphatic spanking at the hands of Philadelphia this past weekend?

Can the Los Angeles Rams take down a Jacksonville Jaguars team that completely embarrassed the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday?

Last but not least, can Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints hold off Matthew Stafford and a Detroit Lions team that has looked really solid since the start of the 2017 regular season?

Upset Picks NFL Week 6

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-2) at Arizona Cardinals (2-3)
When: Sunday, October 15, 2017 at 4:05 PM ET
Where: University of Phoenix Stadium, Glendale, Arizona
NFL Odds: Arizona +2.5
Total: 44.5

Analysis: I know Carson Palmer and the Arizona Cardinals looked completely inept in their stunning 34-7 road loss at Philadelphia this past weekend, but I picked the Cards to really challenge for a playoff berth this season and I just don’t believe they’re quite as bad as they looked in their Week 6 loss to Philly.

Tampa Bay may be 2-2 on the season, but their pair of wins came against Chicago and a winless New York Giants team, so that really isn’t saying very much if you ask me. I do like the direction that Tampa Bay is heading in under quarterback Jameis Winston, but I like Arizona to get the ‘upset’ win as a home underdog in this Week 7 NFC battle.

The Bucs are just 2-5 ATS in their last seven meetings against Arizona and 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall. If nothing else, I like the Cardinals to get the win and ATS cover out of sheer desperation against a Tampa Bay team that hasn’t exactly had the look of a team that is going places this season.

Bet the Cards to upset the Bucs in Week 6.

Upset Pick Week 6: Arizona +2.5

Los Angeles Rams (3-2) at Jacksonville Jaguars (3-2)
When: Sunday, October 15, 2017 at 4:05 PM ET
Where: EverBank Field, Jacksonville, Florida
NFL Odds: L.A. Rams +2.5
Total: 43.5

Analysis: The Jacksonville Jaguars absolutely embarrassed the Pittsburgh Steelers and made veteran quarterback Ben Roethlisberger look like a clueless rookie in their shocking 30-9 blowout road win this past weekend. Now the question is can the Jags win two in a row or will the high-scoring Rams come out victorious?

I like the way the Los Angeles Rams have gone about putting points on the board despite getting shut down by Seattle in their humbling 16-10 Week 5 loss on Sunday. I’m betting the Rams to upset the Jags because of their ability to put points on the board and I just don’t believe that Jacksonville, when forced to play catch-up, will be able to pull off the home win if uninspiring quarterback Blake Bortles is forced to pass the ball.

The Jags have alternated SU wins and losses all season which means they’re due for another defeat this weekend while L.A. is due to put some points on the board like they have in topping the 35-point plateau in three of their five games this season. The Rams are a blistering 11-5-1 ATS in their last 17 Week 6 games while the Jags have gone 2-5 ATS in their last 7 home games.

The Rams are a top upset pick for Week 6 betting action.

Upset Pick Week 6: Los Angeles +2.5

Detroit Lions (3-2) at New Orleans Saints (2-2)
When: Sunday, October 15, 2017 at 1:00 PM ET
Where: Mercedes-Benz Superdome, New Orleans, Louisiana
NFL Odds: Detroit +4
Total: 51

Analysis: Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints may be playing at home in this Week 7 matchup, but for me, Matthew Stafford and the Detroit Lions are the pick to get the outright upset road win seeing as how they’ve been ‘super competitive’ all season long, even in dropping their second game of the season this past weekend.

Sure, New Orleans will be well-rested after getting a bye in Week 5 while Detroit looks to rebound from a heartbreaking 27-24 loss at home against Carolina, but the Lions look like the more complete team on both sides of the ball and that’s why I like them to rebound against a Saints team that just isn’t very scary as far as their defense is concerned.

The Lions are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games following a bye week, 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games in Week 6 and a robust 12-4 ATS in their last 16 games after rushing for less than 90 yards rushing in their previous game.

Conversely, the Saints are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games after allowing less than 250 total yards in their previous game, 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following an SU win of more than 14 points and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games after allowing less than 15 points in their previous game. I very rarely go against Drew Brees and the saints at home, but I am in this Week 6 matchup.

Upset Pick Week 6: Detroit +4
