Super Bowl 52 Spread & ATS Pick

Super Bowl 52 Spread & ATS Pick

Yes, Tom Brady and the New England Patriots are favored to win their second straight Super Bowl title when they take on Nick Foles and the high-flying Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 52 this weekend.

However, the Pats have had some chinks in their armor this season and Philly’s defense is playing out of its collective mind right now. Which brings us to the question…are Brady and the Pats ripe for the picking against an Eagles team that is reveling in its underdog status?

Let’s find out right now. Super Bowl 52 goes down live from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on Sunday, February 4 at 6:30 PM ET.

Why Bet The Eagles ATS in Super Bowl 52

Nick Foles and the Eagles reached Super Bowl 52 in stunning fashion by laying an emphatic 38-7 smackdown on the Minnesota Vikings as a 3-point home underdog in the NFC Championship after getting past Atlanta 15-10 in the NFC divisional round. More importantly, Foles played his best game since taking over for an injured Carson Wentz in Week14. Foles completed an efficient 26 of 33 passes for 352 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions in the win and now heads into Super Bowl 52 with a ton of confidence.

Philadelphia’s defense also looked absolutely phenomenal for the fourth straight game dating back to Week 16 of the regular season. The Eagles’ defense picked off Case Keenum twice while holding the Vikings to 70 rushing yards to get the win.

Why Bet The Patriots ATS in Super Bowl 52

As far as the Patriots are concerned, they reached Super Bowl 52, by doing what they always do – problem solved!

After falling down 14-3 at one point and 17-10 after three quarters against the feisty Jacksonville Jaguars, Tom Brady and company managed to take control of their AFC Championship by outscoring Jacksonville 14-3 in the final quarter to record a hard-fought 24-20 win. Brady passed for 290 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions and the Patriots defense held Jaguars powerful rookie running back Leonard Fournette to a modest 76 yards rushing while sacking Jacksonville quarterback Blake Bortles three times in the win.

Super Bowl 52 ATS Pick

For Super Bowl 52, I’m going to advise you to back the high-flying Eagles to pull off the huge upset for a couple of reasons. First, Philadelphia’s defense is playing lights out football and I believe they will at least, keep Tom Brady in check, especially after seeing the way Jacksonville did just that in the AFC Championship.

Second, I also believe that head coach Doug Pederson is going to come up with another masterful plan that both, maximizes Nick Foles chances for success while simultaneously hiding his deficiencies.

I know the Patriots are 4-1 ATS in their last five playoff games and 16-5 ATS in their last 21 games against a team with a winning record, but the Eagles have gone 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games following an ATS win, 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games against a team with a winning record and 11-4 ATS in their last 15 games overall.

After going against the Birds in both of their two playoff games this postseason, my eyes have been opened and now I can clearly see Philly getting the outright win against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots!

My Super Bowl ATS Pick: Philadelphia +4

NBA Expert Picks Jan 29 - Feb 4

NBA Expert Picks Jan 29 – Feb 4

Kyrie Irving and the Boston Celtics will look to pick up the pace and get back to their winning ways when they host Kristaps ‘The Unicorn’ Porzingis and the New York Knicks on Wednesday.

Ben Simmons will look to put up another triple-double when the blossoming Philadelphia 76ers visit Victor Oladipo and the surprising Indiana Pacers on Saturday.

Last but not least, LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers will host James Harden and the Houston Rockets in another Saturday night matchup, later that day.

My Free NBA Expert Picks Jan 29 – Feb 4

New York (22-28) at Boston (35-15)
When: Wednesday, January 31 at 8:00 PM ET
Where: TD Garden, Boston, MA
TV: ESPN

Analysis: The New York Knicks got off to a nice start this season, but they’ve largely struggled in recent weeks and head into their Wednesday night matchup against Boston having gone 3-7 over their last 10. While Kristaps Porzingis and company got the win over the Phoenix Suns on Friday night, they’re not beating the Celtics in this contest. The C’s have gone a modest 5-5 over their last 10 and will be hungry to get the win after falling to Golden State 109-105 in their nationally-televised thriller on Saturday. Kyrie Irving goes off in this one to lead Boston to victory.

Pick: Celtics 106 Knicks 97

Philadelphia (24-22) at Indiana (27-23)
When: Saturday, February 3 at 7:00 PM ET
Where: Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Indianapolis, IN
TV: CSN, FSMW

Analysis: Philadelphia has gone 7-3 over their last 10 and hit the new week coming off a 122-112 loss to Oklahoma City on Sunday night. Indiana has gone 6-4 over their last 10 and hit the new week coming off a thrilling 114-112 win over Orlando that helped them improve to 3-1 over their last four. Still, I’m feeling an ‘upset special’ in this contest if only because the Pacers won’t have an answer for Joel Embiid – or Ben Simmons for that matter! Still, I wanna’ give Indiana guard Victor Oladipo some love for the all-star season he’s been having since day 1.

Pick: Sixers 112 Pacers 107

Houston (35-13) at Cleveland (29-19)
When: Saturday, February 3 at 8:30 PM ET
Where: Quicken Loans Arena, Cleveland, OH
TV: ABC

Analysis: While LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers have won two straight entering the new week, including their 121-104 win over Detroit on Sunday night, the Cavs are not…repeat, not, the pick to win this Saturday night, nationally-televised showdown. Not only has Houston won five of their last six games and eight of 10 overall, the boys from H-Town are too loaded and too hungry for the dysfunctional Cavs to keep up with. Besides, I’m completely certain that James Harden and company want to deliver a statement-making message to Cleveland. This one won’t be very close!

Pick: Houston 116 Cleveland 105

College Hoops Upset Picks Jan 29 - Feb 4

College Hoops Upset Picks Jan 29 – Feb 4

This past weekend we had our first weekend without football in six months and college basketball filled the pigskin sized hole in my heart with a two day NCAA hoop fest. That heart racing action continues this week with my weekly college basketball upset picks. Happy hunting!

College Hoops Upset Picks Jan 29 – Feb 4

Why do I believe Creighton has a shot versus the Villanova Wildcats? I’ve also got a couple of upset plays for this Saturday on Feb. 3. Why do I think Alabama is a tough out for the ranked Florida Gators? Also, why do I believe Texas keeps it close versus the Oklahoma Sooners? Keep reading to find out!

Creighton at #1 Villanova
When:  Thursday, Feb. 1 at 6:30 pm ET
Where: Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia, PA
TV: Fox Sports 1

Analysis: Although Phil Booth is out, Villanova continues to remain one of the top teams in the nation. I expect things to start to get difficult for Nova this Thursday when they face an underrated Creighton squad.

The Blue Jays were horrible in two out of their last three road games. Xavier beat them 92 to 70. Providence beat them 85 to 71. But, Creighton might have put it all together in their last, an 85 to 77 win over Georgetown.

Creighton shoots over 50% from the field. That’s high enough of a percentage for me to believe they’ve got a chance to not only keep it close versus Villanova, but to possibly upset Nova on the money line.

Pick: Creighton

Alabama at #20 Florida
When:  Saturday, Feb. 3 at 4:00 pm ET
Where: Exactech Arena, Gainesville, FL
TV: ESPN

Analysis: Alabama heads to Gainesville to battle the Florida Gators. The Gators are a decent team. However, on Saturday they face one of the more underrated teams in college hoops. Alabama beat Top 15 ranked Oklahoma 80 to 73 on Jan. 27.

In that match, the Crimson Tide was en fuego from the field. Bama averages over 46% from the field on their way to 75 points per game. Alabama could play well enough to take down the Gators on the money line on Feb. 3.

Pick: Alabama

#12 Oklahoma at Texas
When:  Saturday, Feb. 3 at 6:15 pm ET
Where: Frank Erwin Center, Austin, TX
TV:  ESPN

Analysis: Arguably, the top player in college basketball this season is Oklahoma guard Trae Young. Young averages close to 30 points per game. He grabs over 4 boards and dishes over 9 assists per. Oklahoma should have no trouble taking down Texas on Saturday, right?

Not so fast. Young’s great, but the Longhorn defense holds opponents to less than 40% from the field. Opponents average 33% from the three-point line versus the Texas Longhorns.

The home squad plays great team defense. Since all the Longhorns must do is contain Young, it’s going to be difficult for Oklahoma to escape Austin with a straight up win.

Pick: Texas
