Spread: Villanova -6½

Michigan ended Loyola-Chicago and Sister Jean’s Cinderella run to reach the National Championship game. All cards on the table. The Wolverines were my first March Madness bracket pick to win the title this time around. They are one win away. Should you bet on Michigan to beat Villanova to match my winning pick?

The Wolverines beat Loyola by a score of 69-57, covering the 5.5-point closing betting spread after trailing by double-digits. Michigan is firing on all cylinders and ready to take the next step.

Waiting for the Wolverines are the top-seeded Villanova Wildcats. The Wildcats beat Radford, Alabama, Western Virginia, Texas Tech and Kansas to reach the title game. Villanova was the favorite to win the title since Selection Sunday and the Wildcats have lived up to that billing.

I am betting on Michigan to beat Villanova to become the 2018 NCAA Men’s Basketball champs!

This is Loyola’s time. The Ramblers are the better 3-point team, shooting 40.2 percent this season. While the team doesn’t have any big men, the Ramblers have avoided big-men teams so far in the Tournament. The Wolverines are no exception. Michigan isn’t overly big or athletic. That will allow Loyola the ability to switch screens and avoid bad one-on-one matchups.

Michigan comes to the Final Four with a 13-game winning streak, relying on defense while their offense sputters. The lone exception being a 99-point outburst in a regional semifinal win over Texas A & M. If Michigan plays not to lose against the team America is rooting for, the Wolverines will fall in the Final Four.

How Am I Betting The Loyola Vs Michigan Final Four?

I am betting the Under!

This will be a low possession game. The Final Four betting experts are projecting both teams to score in the 60’s. The Wolverines have the defensive edge but will need to rely on the 3-pointer to pull away. That’s why I am betting the under until I can get Loyola at +6. The Ramblers are a hard team to overpower.

Why Bet On Kansas Over Villanova

Can Kansas beat Villanova to reach the National Championship game? What will it take?

KU needs two of their backcourt trio of Devonte’ Graham, Malik Newman, and Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk to get hot from three-point land. That is how the Jayhawks’ pick-heavy offense will keep up with Villanova’s high-powered offense. The Wildcats are statistically the best offensive team in the nation.

Why Bet On Villanova Over Kansas

Can Villanova beat KU to reach the National Title game?

Villanova leads the nation in scoring with 87 points a game. The Wildcats shoot 50% from the floor and hit about 12 three-pointers a game. Their average margin of victory through the tournament so far is an astounding 18.2-points. This game will be Villanova’s second trip to the Final Four in the last three years. You can’t buy that kind of experience.

My Final Four Bet, Kansas or Villanova?

Kansas! Kansas’ Elite Eight OT victory over Duke could have been the National Championship game this year.

Villanova is 4-1 ATS versus KU in their past five meetings and have every edge on paper to make it to the National Title game. But this season, the four times the Wildcats have lost, they were held to abysmal percentages from 3-point land. KU needs to defend Villanova 1-1. Anytime defenders drop to help, players kick-out for the open three-pointer.

I am betting that Kansas will drive to the rim early in the shot clock against Villanova. Probing for soft spots which do exist on the Wildcats defensive end. If unexploitable, KU will deploy pick and rolls for open shots beyond the arc. The Jayhawks have four strong three-point scorers.
