Odds & Picks To Win The 2018 Belmont Stakes

Who to bet on to beat Justify at the 2018 Belmont Stakes

The historic 150th running of the Belmont Stakes will be held on Saturday, June 9th. Post time is scheduled for 6:37 PM ET from Elmont, New York.

What: 2018 Belmont Stakes
Where: Belmont Park, Elmont, N.Y.
When: Saturday, June 9th, 2018
Post Time: 6:37 pm ET
TV Coverage: 4:00 – 7:30 pm ET

After winning the 2018 Kentucky Derby and Preakness, Justify sits atop the horse racing odds betting board for the Belmont Stakes at +110. If Justify wins, the two-year old will become just the 13th horse to win all three races in the same year since 1875.

Can anyone challenge the Triple Crown hopeful? Is there a runner you need to bet on to win the Belmont and stop Justify’s reign of terror? Let’s take a closer look.

2018 Belmont Stakes Odds & Picks

  • Justify +110
  • Hofburg +450

  • Just Whistle +6000

Belmont Stakes Betting Favorite To Beat Justify – Hofburg +450

Hofburg is the closest challenger to Justify at the Belmont after Audible was pulled. He is listed as the second favorite to win the final race of the Triple Crown.

Belmont Stakes Smart Pick To Beat Justify – Bravazo +800

Bravazo is trained by the legendary D. Wayne Lukas. The colt finished eighth at Louisiana Derby and a disappointing sixth at the Kentucky Derby. But Bravazo was a close second finisher to Justify at the Preakness. Does he have enough in the tank to beat the Belmont favorite?

Belmont Stakes Long Shot Pick – Blended Citizen +1600

He had a great race last time out with a 1½-length victory in the Grade 3 Peter Pan at Belmont Park on May 12th.

Blended Citizen was an also-eligible in the Derby this year. He failed to draw in that previous Friday when the full draw of twenty held strong until post time. The Belmont Stakes will be the 11th race for the colt.

2018 NBA Championship Odds

2018 NBA Championship Odds

The West and East NBA superpowers are set to meet for a fourth straight time for the league championship. Redundant? Yes! But very much more earned than the previous. Both teams needed Game 7 road wins against teams missing their stars to get to the championship series.

2018 NBA Championship Odds

The NBA betting odds heavily favor the defending champion Warriors. In Game 1 the oddsmakers have listed them as 12-point favorites. For the series and NBA title, Golden State is favored at -780 to win while the Cavs are a distant +540.

Cavs Vs Warriors Betting Analysis

LeBron James IS the greatest player of all time.

The Warriors ARE the greatest team of all time.

On Thursday Game 1 of their best-of-seven series tips off from Oakland, California.

The Warriors were destined to be in the 2018 NBA Championship from the second they won it last season. Golden State was always supposed to make it this far. Talk of repeating a 67-win regular season, 16-1 playoff record, and a NBA Championship was instant. That hubris led to a 58-win season and a Western Conference finals Game 7 scare.

LeBron James has been on a one-man mission all season. In the playoffs he has disposed of more talented teams with heartlessness fit for Westeros. If this series is to be his last season in Cleveland, it will be otherworldly.

MLB Expert Picks July 30 - Aug 5

MLB Best Bets May 28 – June 3

Major League Baseball is gearing up for a great week of action. I have a trio of picks making up your best MLB bets for this week.

Let’s fast forward to Saturday, June 2. Cleveland head to Minnesota to battle the Twins. Will Cleveland get it done on the road versus their AL Central rivals?

I’ve got two expert picks for Sunday, June 3. The first has Texas battling the AL West rival Angels. The second has Boston tackling World Series champion Houston? Who steps it up on Sunday?

MLB Best Bets May 28 – June 3

Cleveland at Minnesota
When:  Saturday, June 2 at 2:10 pm ET
Where: Target Field, Minneapolis, MN
TV:  FS1

Analysis: Cleveland lists Adam Plutko as their Saturday starter. Plutko, 2 and 0 with a 2.03 ERA and a .90 WHIP, sure appears set to dominate the Twins on Saturday. He’s already dominated both the Chicago Cubs and Toronto Blue Jays.

Minnesota counters Plutko with Lance Lynn. Lynn has a 6.34 ERA and a 1.86 WHIP. His record is 2 and 4. Lynn could throw one of his best games of the year and the Twins most likely would still lose.

I like Cleveland.

Pick: Cleveland

Texas at L.A. Angels
When:  Sunday, June 3 at 4:07 pm ET
Where: Angels Stadium of Anaheim, Anaheim, CA

Analysis: The Angels haven’t listed a starter for their Sunday match up versus the Texas Rangers. It won’t matter. The Rangers listed starter should have no shot of keeping this one close.

Bartolo Colon has had a resurgence as a starting pitcher this season. Colon was great in his last start. He allowed 3 earned runs off 5 hits in 7 innings. In his last versus the Angels, though, he lasted 3 innings after giving up a run off 3 hits.

The Angels should punish Bartolo and the Rangers on June 3.

Pick: L.A. Angels

Boston at Houston
When:  Sunday, June 3 at 7:30 pm ET
Where: Minute Maid Park, Houston, TX

Analysis: Rick Porcello versus Charlie Morton should be a fantastic pitcher’s duel on Sunday night. Porcello, one of the Red Sox’s top starters, is 6 and 2 with a 3.74 ERA. His WHIP is a great 1.14.

Charlie Morton might be Houston’s top starter. His ERA is 2.04. His record is 7 and 0. His WHIP is .97. Who wins in a battle between two of the best?

I must side with Houston. Morton’s been unreal this season while the Stros get the Red Sox in their park on Sunday.

Pick: Houston
