Over/Under Picks NFL Week 9

Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens
When: Sunday, Nov. 4 at 1:00 pm ET
Where: M&T Bank Stadium, Baltimore, MD
TV: CBS
Stream: CBS Sports
Game Total: 47

Analysis: On paper, this one should go under because both teams have very good defenses. But, Baltimore and Pittsburgh have battled in some seriously crazy over games in the past. This could be one of those Steelers versus Ravens over games.

Pittsburgh averages 29 points per. Baltimore’s got a good defense, but Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger knows how to break down the Ravens. Baltimore’s played the same strategy on defense for almost a decade.

Roethlisberger and the Steelers will put up points. Baltimore quarterback Joe Flacco and the Ravens will have no choice but to try and answer. This game could get into the 50’s with at least one team hitting the 30-point mark and the other scoring around 24.

Pick: Over

New York Jets at Miami Dolphins
When: Sunday, Nov. 4 at 1:00 pm ET
Where: Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Gardens, FL
TV: CBS
Stream: CBS Sports
Game Total: 45

Analysis: New York Jets travel to Miami in a game between two teams that don’t play much defense. Neither squad has much of an offense, either, but in a game where neither team can do anything well, offenses get the edge.

The reason is that defenses must react to offenses. Don’t be surprised if the Jets and Dolphins both put up 30 in this matchup. Jets especially should have success rushing the football against a Fins’ front seven that allows 143 rushing yards per.

Pick: Over

Green Bay Packers at New England Patriots
When: Sunday, Nov. 4 at 8:20 pm ET
Where: Gillette Stadium, Foxboro, MA
TV: NBC
Stream: NBC Sports Live
Game Total: 56½

Analysis: If we really thought hard, we could come up with a reason why the Packers and Patriots wouldn’t play to an over 60 total. We could come up with a scenario where New England rushes the ball to keep it away from Aaron Rodgers and where Green Bay tries to rush the ball to keep it away from Tom Brady.

Few teams can change their offensive strategy whenever they feel like it. Green Bay and New England aren’t two of those teams. No matter the total, this game goes over because both Rodgers and Brady throw for 3 TDs each.

Pick: Over 56½

Moneyline Upset Picks NFL Week 9

Moneyline Upset Picks NFL Week 9

The quickest way to boost your sports betting bankroll is to bet the moneyline on a few underdogs. I have a trio of NFL Week 9 moneyline upset picks. Let’s get started.

Moneyline Upset Picks NFL Week 9

Atlanta Falcons +105 at Washington Redskins -125
When: Sunday, Nov. 4 at 1:00 pm ET
Where: FedEx Field, Landover, MD
TV: FOX

Analysis: Washington’s got a good defense. It won’t stop the Atlanta Falcons from putting up close to 30 points, though. The Falcons head to D.C. off their bye. Because Atlanta must now win every game to make the playoffs, expect coach Dan Quinn and his staff to have found a way to exploit Washington’s secondary, which has trouble outside of corner Josh Norman.

Atlanta should also provide a better defensive performance than they have since Week 1. The Falcons got a week to get healthy on defense. Washington’s Alex Smith hasn’t been as awesome this season as he was last season.

The Falcons take it on the moneyline.

Moneyline Upset Pick: Atlanta Falcons +105

Houston Texans -102 at Denver Broncos -118
When: Sunday, Nov. 4 at 4:05 pm ET
Where: Bronco Stadium at Mile High, Denver, CO
TV: CBS

Analysis: Denver battled Kansas City impressively to lose by only 7 points in Week 8. Because Broncos were +8.5 dogs, they beat the Chiefs against the spread.

Denver enters Week 9 a favorite over the Houston Texans. The Texans could rock the Broncos for around 30 points, though. Denver’s defense is good, but Houston turned it on in their smashing 42-23 win over Miami.

The Texans are the class of the AFC South. They’ll get a fifth straight win on Sunday at the Broncos’ expense.

Moneyline Upset Pick: Houston Texans-102

L.A. Chargers +105 at Seattle Seahawks -125
When: Sunday, Nov. 4 at 4:05 pm ET
Where: CenturyLink Field, Seattle, WA
TV: CBS

Analysis: The Seahawks are on a roll having beaten Oakland 27-3 and Detroit 28-14 in Week 6 and Week 8. Seattle’s gotten their rushing attack together. In Week 8, the rushing attack bulldozed the Lions for 176 yards on 42 carries.

But, Seattle’s rushing attack could hit a Chargers’ brick wall on Sunday. Los Angeles only allows 106.4 rushing yards per. To make matters more difficult for the Seahawks, the Chargers’ have scored 26 points or more in 3 of their last 4.

L.A. Chargers take it.

Moneyline Upset Pick: Los Angeles Chargers +105
