Expert Picks College Football Week 8

Expert Picks College Football Week 8

We are hitting Week 8 in college football betting action. I have a trio of expert picks you can jump on now.

Expert Picks College Football Week 8

#11 Oklahoma at TCU
When: Saturday, Oct. 20 at 12:00 pm ET
Where: Amon G. Carter Stadium, Ft. Worth, TX
TV: ABC
Odds: Oklahoma -7.5

Analysis: Oklahoma’s bye week before their Saturday battle with rival TCU must have been interesting because the Sooners lost 45-48 to Texas the week before. Oklahoma can’t stop any opponent from scoring points against it.

The Sooners offense is impossible to stop, though. The only way to beat Oklahoma is to score with them. TCU doesn’t appear capable of more than 28 points in this game, which means the Sooners could blow out the Horned Frogs on Saturday.

Pick: Oklahoma

#1 Alabama at Tennessee
When: Saturday, Oct. 20 at 3:30 pm ET
Where: Neyland Stadium, Knoxville, TN
TV: CBS
Odds: NL

Analysis: The line’s off right now because Alabama hasn’t said if starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa plays. It won’t matter if Tagovailoa plays or not because Tennessee has no shot of keeping it close against the top team in the nation.

The Vols played their best game of the season in Week 7 when they upset Auburn on the road. They won’t upset Auburn and Alabama back-to-back. Almost as important, we mustn’t forget that with Tagovailoa playing only a single half in almost every Alabama game, the Tide averages over 50 points per.

No matter the spread, Alabama covers.

Pick: Alabama

#20 NC State at #4 Clemson
When: Saturday, Oct. 20 at 3:30 pm ET
Where: Memorial Stadium, Clemson, SC
TV: ESPN
Odds: Clemson -17

Analysis: The Tigers have no real excuse heading into their Saturday matchup with NC State. Clemson put together the best game it’s played this season when dominating Wake Forest 66-3 on Oct. 6.

Going into this game off a bye, the Tigers should dominate an NC State squad that’s 5-0 this season. It’s easy for me to write that because NC State hasn’t beaten much. Plus, in their last outing, the Wolfpack didn’t cover at home versus Boston College as a -6.5 favorite.

Clemson rolls to an easy win and cover.

Pick: Clemson

NHL Free Picks Oct 15-21

NHL Free Picks Oct 15-21

The NHL season is a few weeks into the 2018 campaign and I have a trio of bankroll busting NHL free picks for the week of October 15th to the 21st.

NHL Free Picks Oct 15st-21th

Boston Bruins at Calgary Flames
When: Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 9:30 pm ET
Where: Scotiabank Saddledome, Alberta, CA
TV: NBCSN

Analysis: The last time Boston battled Calgary, they beat them 2-1 in overtime. That game was at Calgary back in early February. So far this season, Boston’s done nothing to show it won’t beat Calgary again.

In fact, the Bruins, along with Toronto, appear to be the class of the Atlantic Division. Boston’s averaging 4.4 goals per, ranking 3rd in goals per game. Calgary only averages 3.6 goals per. There’s a chance the Bruins win this one on the puck line.

Pick: Boston Bruins

Minnesota Wild at Dallas Stars
When: Friday, Oct. 19 at 8:00 pm ET
Where: American Airlines Center, Dallas, TX
TV: NBCSN

Analysis: It’s early, but Dallas has played above expectations. The Stars average 4.2 goals while only allowing 2.8. They’ve already beaten Anaheim and Winnipeg this season.

Minnesota’s had trouble getting the puck into the net. The Wild are averaging 2.5 goals per. Because the Wild give up over 3 goals per, they should be behind after the first period on Oct. 19. Unless Minnesota manages to turn it around against the Stars in the second period, things might get out of control. It’s not hard to see Dallas up 3-1 before the 3rd period starts. This might be one of those NHL games where it’s best to back the favorite on the puck line.

Pick: Dallas Stars

Tampa Bay Lightning at Chicago Blackhawks
When: Sunday, Oct. 20 at 7:00 pm ET
Where: United Center, Chicago, IL
TV: NHL Net

Analysis: The Tampa Bay Lightning head to Chicago to battle the Blackhawks in a match that could go either way. This is a busy week for the Lightning. By the time they battle Chicago on Sunday, they will have already played against the Carolina Hurricane and the Detroit Red Wings.

Even though it’s a tough week for Tampa, Chicago’s allowing 4.2 goals per while only averaging 4.4 per. Tampa’s defense should lead them to a win in what’s guaranteed to be a high-scoring match.

Pick: Tampa Bay Lightning

Expert Picks NBA Week 1

The 2018 NBA season tips-off on Tuesday, October 16th, 2018 and I have a trio of sports betting bankrool busting NBA expert picks.

Expert Picks NBA Week 1

L.A. Lakers at Portland Trailblazers
When: Thursday, Oct. 18 at 10:30 pm ET
Where: Moda Center, Portland, OR
TV: TNT

Analysis: All eyes will be on LeBron and the Lakers when they travel to the Moda Center to take on the Portland Trailblazers on Thursday, Oct. 18. If the NBA Preseason is any indication of how the LeBron led Lakers might perform, Portland could be in trouble.

The Lakers scored 123 points and 119 points in back-to-back wins over Golden State in their final couple of preseason games. LeBron should make the Lakers much better this season, but their best player from last season, Julius Randle, won’t start on the frontline.

In this game, Portland’s got an edge with center Jusuf Nurkic. Unless LeBron provides magic, Portland should win this one on the moneyline.

Pick: Portland Trailblazers

Boston Celtics at Toronto Raptors
When: Friday, Oct. 19 at 8:00 pm ET
Where: Scotiabank Arena, Toronto, ON, CA
TV: ESPN

Analysis: Toronto acquired the great Kawhi Leonard. However, Leonard doesn’t even want to play for Toronto. His dream is to play for the squad he grew up rooting for, the Los Angeles Lakers.

It feels like Leonard’s on loan for a season even though he’s saying all the right things. Kawhi will give it his all on Friday, though, which makes the Raptors an intriguing possible underdog home play on the moneyline.

Pick: Toronto Raptors

Houston Rockets at L.A. Lakers
When: Saturday, Oct. 20 at 10:30 pm ET
Where: Staples Center, Los Angeles, CA
TV: ESPN

Analysis: The Lakers game against the Houston Rockets on Saturday in primetime is the one everyone’s going to watch. If LeBron and the Lakers can beat The Beard, CP3 and the Houston Rockets, expect L.A.’s odds to win the NBA Title to dive.

Are the Lakers good enough to beat the Rockets? Nope. Even with LeBron, the team lacks enough great guard play to counter anything James Harden and Chris Paul do in this game. Carmelo Anthony can still score at will, meaning the Rockets should garner a nice lead heading into the 4th quarter. Rockets win.

Pick: Houston Rockets
