Moneyline Upset Picks NFL Week 7

Betting the moneyline on NFL underdogs is a great way to boost your sports betting bankroll. I have a trio of moneyline upset picks for NFL Week 7 action. Happy hunting!

Moneyline Upset Picks NFL Week 7

Denver Broncos at Arizona Cardinals
When: Thursday, Oct. 18 at 8:20 pm ET
Where: State Farm Stadium, Glendale, AZ
TV: FOX/NFL
Odds: Broncos -1.5

Analysis: Denver played a marvelous game in defeat, losing by only 3 points in Week 6 to the 2019 Super Bowl favored L.A. Rams. Now, Denver must head to Arizona to face a Cardinals team that lost 17-27 to Minnesota in Week 6.

The Broncos have a terrible offense, though, one that only averages 20 points per game. Denver’s so bad that it often puts the defense in tough situations. Arizona’s played well against much higher scoring teams in the past couple of weeks.

Also, the betting line should go down to Broncos -3, meaning we’ll get decent moneyline odds on the Cardinals.

Moneyline Upset Pick: Cardinals

Dallas at Washington
When: Sunday, Oct. 21 at 4:25 pm ET
Where: FedEx Field, Landover, MD
TV: CBS
Odds: Washington -2

Analysis: Washington’s a different team at home than they are on the road, but the Cowboys head to D.C. after pummeling the much-hyped Jacksonville Jaguars with 40 points. Dallas might have finally turned the corner.

The Cowboys pushed around a solid Jacksonville front seven. They could do the same to a solid Washington front seven on Oct. 21. Dallas versus Washington always seems to end up on the final drive or even final play of the game.

I like my chances on the moneyline dog, the Cowboys.

Moneyline Upset Pick: Cowboys

New York Giants at Atlanta Falcons
When: Monday, Oct. 22 at 8:15 pm ET
Where: Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, GA
TV: CBS
Odds: Falcons -5.5

Analysis: Atlanta’s defense is horrendous. It’s impossible to describe how bad it is after watching the Falcons almost lose outright to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 6. Atlanta did pull it out, but not before the Bucs scored 29 points.

It means Atlanta’s allowed 43, 37, 41, and 29 points in their last 4. The New York Giants are a bad football team, but with so many skill players, NYG should score at least 30. That could be enough for the straight up win.

Moneyline Upset Pick: Giants

Over/Under Picks NFL Week 7

Carolina Panthers at Philadelphia Eagles
When: Sunday, Oct. 21 at 1:00 pm ET
Where: Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, PA
TV: FOX
Odds: 45

Analysis: Surprisingly, Carolina couldn’t get its offense going until it was too late in the 17-23 loss to Washington in Week 6. The Panthers have a good shot of getting their offense going versus a Philadelphia Eagles unit that allows 273 passing yards per, though.

Also, Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz should have no trouble carving up an overrated Panthers defense that yields 255.6 passing yards. Opponents rush for over 100 yards against Carolina while Philly allows over 22 points per.

Eagles will be good for 30 while Carolina’s good for 21 to 24. That means it goes over.

Pick: Over

Houston Texans at Jacksonville Jaguars
When: Sunday, Oct. 21 at 1:00 pm ET
Where: TIAA Bank Field, Jacksonville, FL
TV: CBS
Odds: 43

Analysis: Dallas destroyed Jacksonville’s offense in Week 6, rushing for 206 yards and scoring 40 points. Houston won’t score 40 points against the Jaguars in Week 7, but Houston can rush the football.

The Texans can also throw the football, which means even if Jalen Ramsey believes he can contain De’Andre Hopkins, Texans’ quarterback Deshaun Watson should light up the Jags’ secondary.

Houston’s defense allowed Buffalo to score 13 points. The Jaguars are good for at least 24 to 27. If Texans scores the same, we’re looking at an easy over.

Pick: Over

New Orleans Saints at Baltimore Ravens
When: Sunday, Oct. 21 at 4:05 pm ET
Where: B&T Bank Stadium, Baltimore, MD
TV: CBS
Odds: 50

Analysis: New Orleans averages 36 points per game, ranking first in the NFL. Not only that, but the Saints head to Baltimore after their bye. Coach Sean Payton and Drew Brees almost definitely put together a game plan that punishes that Ravens.

Baltimore can put up some points. Though it’s possible that the Ravens have trouble moving the football if they can get their rushing attack going. The Saints allow 71.4 yards per. That makes New Orleans first in the NFL against the rush.

Because the Ravens have trouble passing the ball, I think it goes under.

Lock Picks NFL Week 7

With another great week of NFL betting action in the books, let’s take a look at a trio of lock picks for NFL Week 7 action.

Lock Picks NFL Week 7

Buffalo Bills at Indianapolis Colts
When: Sunday, Oct. 21 at 1:00 pm ET
Where: Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, IN
TV: CBS
Odds: Colts -6.5

Analysis: Buffalo’s played great at holding offenses to 22 points or less in their last 4. But, the Bills battle one of the few teams in the NFL with a hall of fame quality quarterback. Andrew Luck’s career must get back on track if he hopes to make the hall of fame.

Even if Luck never reaches the hall, he can sling it as well as any quarterback not named Big Ben, Drew, or Terrific Tom. Luck should do enough for the Colts to win and comfortably cover the spread.

Week 7 Lock Pick: Colts

Detroit Lions at Miami Dolphins
When: Sunday, Oct. 21 at 1:00 pm ET
Where: Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Gardens, FL
TV: FOX
Odds: N/L

Analysis: No line yet because Miami starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill might take another game off due to an injured shoulder. Whether Tannehill plays or not, Miami has a small chance of either covering the spread, no matter what it is, or winning this game straight up because Detroit battles the Dolphins off a bye.

The Lions should be ready to beat Miami by around 7 to 10 points. One thing to note is that the Lions have gone 4-0 ATS and 2-2 on the moneyline.
Unless Miami comes up with a brand new game plan, Detroit handles the Dolphins and covers the spread.

Week 7 Lock Pick: Lions

Los Angeles Rams at San Francisco 49ers
When: Sunday, Oct. 21 at 4:25 pm ET
Where: Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara, CA
TV: CBS
Odds: Rams -11

Analysis: It’s hard to take the Rams because L.A. hasn’t covered the spread in their last 3. But, San Francisco’s offense is so terrible that the Rams defense should have no trouble holding the 49ers to 10 points, maybe, 14 points.

San Francisco allows 29.2 points per, ranking 28th in the NFL. The Rams average close to 35 per, which means this one’s a Los Angeles blowout waiting to happen. Don’t be surprised if L.A. beats the 49ers 42 to 13.

Week 7 Lock Pick: Rams
