Odds & How To Bet Clemson vs Boston College

Top Betting Picks College Football Week 9

With another week of college football betting action in the books, I have a trio of top betting picks for College Football Week 9 action.

Top Betting Picks College Football Week 9

#2 Clemson at Florida State
When: Saturday, Oct. 27 at 12:00 pm ET
Where: Doak Campbell Stadium, Tallahassee, FL
TV: ABC
Odds: Clemson -13.5

Analysis: Clemson’s been on a roll. The Tigers have outscored their last couple of opponents a combined 104-10. They dominated Wake Forest 63-3 on Oct. 6. They demolished Top 20 ranked NC State 41-7 in Week 8.

Often, Clemson versus Florida State garners attention. It might not this time because Florida State has no shot of keeping it close. Not even reading trends in this one just because the Tigers are loaded while Florida State has a 4-3 SU record.

Even though the line dropped 4 points from Clemson -17.5, still all over the Tigers. They’ll cover. Don’t be surprised if Clemson beats FSU by 30 on Saturday.

Pick: Clemson

Kansas State at #8 Oklahoma
When: Saturday, Oct. 27 at 2:30 pm ET
Where: Memorial Stadium, Norman, OK
TV: FOX
Odds: Oklahoma -23.5

Analysis: Kansas State only averages 23.3 per. The Wildcats will try to keep the ball from Oklahoma and quarterback Kyler Murray’s hands. Kansas State won’t have luck doing that because Oklahoma forces you to play their style.

Sooners average 48.6 points. They hung 52 onto TCU in a huge road win in Week 8. TCU’s defense statistically ranked first in the Big 12. Oklahoma should demolish Kansas State by 30 to 40 on Oct. 27.

Pick: Oklahoma

#6 Texas at Oklahoma State
When: Saturday, Oct. 27 at 8:00 pm ET
Where: Boone Pickens Stadium, Stillwater, OK
TV: ABC
Odds: Texas -2.5

Analysis: Texas Longhorns have been on a roll since the upset loss to Maryland in Week 1. Longhorns have gone 6-0 SU and 3-3 ATS. Texas has won games by outscoring opponents. They’ve also won a couple by locking down opponents.

Oklahoma State averages over 39 points per game, though. Texas must stick with the Cowboys on the scoreboard. They pulled that off against rival Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry. Not sure Texas can pull it off against the Cowboys on Saturday.

Pick: Oklahoma State

NHL Picks Oct 22-28

NHL Picks Oct 22-28

The top NHL teams are starting to reach mid-season form and that means you can expect tighter hockey betting odds. I am here to help you make the smart NFL betting picks for the week of October 22nd to the 28th. Let’s get after it!

NHL Picks Oct 22-28

Tampa Bay Lightning at Vegas Golden Knights
When: Friday, Oct. 26 at 6:00 pm ET
Where: T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, NV
TV: TVA

Analysis: We could make some decent dollars in Lightning at Knights on Friday. Hard to see oddsmakers making the Golden Knights dogs in their home arena on the Vegas Strip. Even if they do make Tampa the favorites, Lightning won’t be favored by much.

Tampa ranks in the Top 10 in both goals for and goals allowed. They’ve also killed 100% of penalties this season. That makes the Lightning one of the top teams in NHL, so far.

Vegas averages only 2.1 goals per while allowing 2.6. They’ll have trouble keeping up with a Lightning squad that can turn it on whenever they feel like it.

Pick: Tampa Bay Lightning

Winnipeg Jets at Toronto Maple Leafs
When: Saturday, Oct. 27 at 7:00 pm ET
Where: Scotiabank Arena, Toronto, ON, CA
TV: CBC

Analysis: Can’t wait for this matchup between one of the top teams in the East and one of the top teams in the West. Toronto’s lived up to the hype by taking a lead in the Atlantic Division. Toronto ranks 2nd in NHL with 3.8 goals per.

But, the Leafs rank 21st in goals against. Toronto allows 3.3 goals. Winnipeg ranks in the Top 10 in goals allowed, 2.5, and penalty kills 83.3. The Jets average 3 goals per.

Winnipeg can keep up with Toronto while Leafs won’t stop Jets from reaching their goal average. Jets are the bet.

Pick: Winnipeg Jets

Dallas Stars at Detroit Red Wings
When: Sunday, Oct. 28 at 5:00 pm ET
Where: Little Caesar’s Arena, Detroit, MI
TV: ESPN+

Analysis: Dallas ranks in the Top 5 in shots, power play percentage, and faceoff percentage. The Stars only average 2.7 goals per, though. Dallas allows 3 goals per.

Although Stars have trouble stopping scorers, they could step it up on the road against Detroit because the Red Wings can’t stop anybody from scoring. Opponents average 4.4 goals per match versus Detroit.

Unless the Red Wings magically discover how to stop teams from scoring, they should lose this by at least 2 goals.

Pick: Dallas Stars

Betting Picks NBA Oct 22-28

Betting Picks NBA Oct 22-28

We head into the second week of NBA action and there are a lot of questions that remain unanswered. Are the undefeated Raptors, Bucks & Pistons the best the East has to offer? When will the equally undefeated Nuggets, Pelicans, and Trail Blazers lose their first games? How much longer will the Laker-faithful have to wait for LeBron to start winning?

Betting Picks NBA Oct 22-28

Philadelphia 76ers at Milwaukee Bucks
When: Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 9:30 pm ET
Where: Fiserv Forum, Milwaukee, WI
TV: ESPN

Analysis: 76ers point guard Ben Simmons is listed as questionable to play on Tuesday against the Detroit Pistons. If Simmons doesn’t play on Tuesday, Philly might have a better shot to beat the Bucks and Giannis Antetokounmpo on Wednesday.

A better shot won’t lead to a win, though. Simmons and the 76ers are a good team. They aren’t as good as Milwaukee, who’s getting plenty of balance on the offensive end this season. It’s nice to know that if you must lean on a player like the Greek Freak, you can.

Milwaukee should win and cover.

Pick: Milwaukee Bucks

Boston Celtics at Oklahoma City Thunder
When: Thursday, Oct. 25 at 8:00 pm ET
Where: Chesapeake Energy Arena, Oklahoma City, OK
TV: TNT

Analysis: Boston’s won early this season, but right now they’re a difficult play against the spread. Odds makers have set lines that the Celtics haven’t covered. They shouldn’t run into an issue with a huge line as a favorite on Thursday, though.

Oklahoma City figures to be a slight favorite. Even if OKC isn’t, odds makers won’t favor Boston by more than 3 to 4. Celtics don’t care if they play on the road or not while Oklahoma City’s looked awful so far this season.

Thunder’s issue might be one of chemistry. They don’t play defense or haven’t yet. Doubtful they play good enough defense to beat the Celtics on Oct. 25.

Pick: Boston Celtics

Golden State Warriors at New York Knicks
When: Friday, Oct. 26 at 7:30 pm ET
Where: Madison Square Garden, New York, NY
TV: NBA TV

Analysis: Golden State Warriors haven’t gotten on track yet this season. If they don’t earlier in the week, they will on Friday facing a New York Knicks team that just won’t keep up.

Knicks want to run and gun just like Golden State. In the past 4 seasons, trying to beat the Warriors at their own game hasn’t led to many victories. It won’t on Friday, either. Golden State rolls to an easy 20+ points win.

Pick: Golden State Warriors
