Things seem to be going a little stray down in Cleveland after rumors surfaced that there was an altercation in the Cavs locker room between Waiters and Irving. We still have yet to see it unfold on the court but something in that locker room is not going well… the Bucks really could not care less as they are the proud owners of the worst season this year, they find themselves 38 games below .500 and drowning more every day.
Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Milwaukee Bucks
The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Milwaukee Bucks hit the hard-court tonight in a late season matchup
Starts: 04/11/2014 8:30PM
BMO Harris Bradley Center, 1001 N Fourth St.
Cleveland will not make the post season this year, yet again but things have looked good for them, as they have shown us they are capable of taking on bit teams and finding the way to win. This is without a doubt Kyri Irving’s team, he is the star player and if other have issues with that they become a distraction and in my opinion will not or should not be on this team. Cleveland is looking at big things this coming season with the group they have and the addition s they will get.
The Bucks understand that this season is a total failure but they kind of expected it as they liquidated every one and kept the main core to get through the season. they will have a bundle of cash and space to make some interesting moves this summer. Their problem is attacking the right kind of talent because it’s such a small market, there is not much else there aside from the Packers.
Pick: For this game I have to point you in the obvious direction and now, it’s not the dog again… Cleveland will look to have a little on court scoring battle as Irving shown off what he can do and silently tells the rest of the team to back him up.
It’s been a battle all season long as these two teams really do not like one another. the Pacers came into this season with two clear goals… Making the playoffs and beating the Heat. They started off very well but in this last month they have fallen so far off the horse that they are now trailing Miami overall and need to fight to get home court advantage back. The Heat know that they will not be able to beat the Pacers in a seven game series if they have to go back to Bakers field house for the last one… They need to be at home to make the magic happen.
Indiana Pacers vs. Miami Heat
The Indiana Pacers and Miami Heat hit the hard-court in a possible future play-off matchup preview.
Starts: 04/11/2014 7:00PM
American Airlines Arena, 601 Biscayne Blvd.
If Indiana losses this game they can pretty much kiss their home court advantage goodbye, that does not mean they are going to give up on anything but it will make things much harder. This team needs to come out aggressive in this game, attacking the rim and going straight at LeBron. Paul and West need to be on their top game while Hibbert needs to control the inside paint like a mad dog, attacking anyone who thinks of coming in there.
Miami knows they have the advantage but they also know that the Pacer will come out swinging. By far this will be the biggest test of the year for this Championship team and they are in need of not only their bench but their big man… “Calling all big man, please report to the court” The Heat will have to play man up basketball and if they get beat on their home floor it will be because they could not protect their painted area down the stretch.
Pick: Take Indiana in this game, they have no choice but to win this game at all coasts and at -3.5 I think it’s actually a good number for this desperate team.
This is a straight forward game, the Rockets are not really going to put up much of a fight with their starters as they will play very limited minutes to rest, Minnesota will on the other hand have their guys going full force, this team finds itself 11 days away from closing out the season and although they did not make the post season they have a chance to end their season on the winning side of things.
Houston Rockets vs. Minnesota Timberwolves
The Houston Rockets and Minnesota Timberwolves hit the hard-court tonight late in the NBA season.
Starts: 04/11/2014 8:00PM
Target Center, 600 North 1st Ave.
Houston will have their bench run their set pays and get ready for a deep run into the west playoffs, their road will not be easy as this team has not fared well against post season destined teams. They really must push themselves, I think that they outside shooting can still get better and they will have to look at creating space late in the fourth quarter from around the basket and not necessarily go to the inside .
Minnesota is a game above .500 and I honestly love their back court, the ability Love has to shoot from beyond the arc as a center of a power forward is simply amazing, that forces teams to adjust to zone which won’t work on him or man that brings the opposing center out leaving the rim un protected. Their main issue is that their guards lack the aggressiveness to drive the ball and they rather depend on the shot more than crashing the boards. The Timberwolves want to stay about that middle line very bad so I see them doing whatever it takes to win this game.
Pick: Take the Timberwolves +5 in this game because of their need to win their next few games against playoff teams. They have to stay above water to have this season mean something.
