2016 MLB Win Totals

2016 Major League Baseball Spring Training is here!  Las Vegas sportsbooks have come out with the 2016 MLB team win totals for you to bet on. Should you bet the over or the under on each team win totals? Keep reading to find out.

Should You Bet The Over or Under On The 2016 MLB Win Team Totals

  • San Francisco Giants 90 – 90 seems like a given based on the G-Men signing Johnny Cueto to the rotation.
  • Chicago Cubs 89 – The Cubs are loaded. They should exceed 90 wins in 2016.
  • New York Mets 88 – The Mets have one of the top rotations in baseball. 88 games doesn’t seem too high of a total.
  • St. Louis Cardinals 87.5 – For the Cardinals to bounce back, Adam Wainwright has to come back strong from his injury. This total is tough.
  • Kansas City Royals 87 – The offense and bullpen are still great. But, the rotation might suffer. Another tough call.
  • Los Angeles Dodgers 87 – The rotation should be okay even without Zack Greinke. The problem might be the offense.
  • Pittsburgh Pirates 87 – This could be the Pirates year. But not every team in the NL Central will exceed 87 wins.
  • Toronto Blue Jays 87 – I like at least 90 wins from the Blue Jays now that Stroman has taken over as the ace.
  • Washington Nationals 87 – I don’t see it. Stephen Strasburg’s arm looks dead while they lost Jordan Zimmerman to the AL.
  • Texas Rangers 86 – The Rangers sort of got lucky last season. I don’t see 86 wins.
  • Boston Red Sox 85.5 – 85.5 wins would be a huge leap for the Red Sox. I’m not sold.
  • Houston Astros 85.5 – This looks like one of the best bets on the board. Astros over 85.5 might be a given.
  • Detroit Tigers 85 – Here’s another team that looks poised for close to 90 wins this season.
  • New York Yankees 85 – The Yankees getting 85 wins seems like a toss-up.
  • Arizona Diamondbacks 84.5 – 84.5 wins for the D’Backs is an underlay. Arizona could win close to 100 games.
  • Cleveland Indians 84 – 84 wins seems about right making this a flip of the coin bet.
  • Seattle Mariners 83 – The Mariners could get 83 wins. Or, they could implode and struggle to get 80 wins.
  • L.A. Angels 82.5 – The Angels definitely took a step back during the off-season. Tough call either way.
  • Baltimore Orioles 80.5 – Baltimore could surprise with plus 80.5 wins this season. The starting rotation isn’t that bad.
  • Chicago White Sox 80.5 – I have my doubts about the White Sox’s ability to win over 80 games in 2016.
  • Miami Marlins 80.5 – This one can definitely go either way.
  • Tampa Bay Rays 78 – The Rays are a better team than 78 wins this season.
  • Minnesota Twins 77.5 – Here’s another toss-up. The Twins can win over 80, or they may not break the 75 win barrier.
  • Oakland Athletics 75.5 – The A’s are definitely tough to call. They appear to be rebuilding after going all in the last couple of seasons.
  • San Diego Padres 74 – Shields isn’t as effective as he used to be as a starter. The Padres could sink again.
  • Milwaukee Brewers 71.5 – The starting rotation isn’t very good. 68 wins seems probable.
  • Cincinnati Reds 71 – Under 71 seems like a good bet on the Reds for 2016.
  • Colorado Rockies 68.5 – I have to go under. The Rockies play in a tough division.
  • Philadelphia Phillies 66.5 – The Phillies have some young talent in the rotation. I like them to go over.
  • Atlanta Braves 65 – The Braves are just a bad team this season. I’m going under for sure.
