MLB Betting Analysis June 24-30

There are a trio of MLB games you need to keep your eyes on for the week of June 24th to the 30th.

MLB Betting Analysis June 24-30

New York Yankees at Boston Red Sox
When:  Saturday, June 29 at 1:10 pm ET
Where: Fenway Park, Boston, MA
TV: FOX

Betting Analysis: This weekend, the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox resume the greatest rivalry in sports. On Saturday, the Yankees are undecided as to who they will start. The Red Sox have penciled in Rick Porcello as their starter.

Porcello had looked good up until a start on June 23. On June 12 against Texas, he only allowed 2 earned runs off 5 hits in 6.2 innings pitched. Versus Minnesota on June 17, Porcello didn’t allow a run in 4 hits in 7 innings. The Red Sox won both games.

Against Toronto on June 23, though, things fell apart. Porcello lasted 6 innings. He gave up 5 earned runs off 8 hits. Boston lost 1-6. The Yankees only hit .245 against Rick Porcello. They should get to him in this game, though. New York on the moneyline looks like a solid play.

Pick: New York Yankees

Seattle Mariners at Houston Astros
When:  Saturday, June 29 at 8:15 pm ET
Where: Minute Maid Park, Houston, TX
TV: FOX

Betting Analysis: Seattle will try to contain Houston’s powerful batting lineup with 28-year-old Yusei Kikuchi on Saturday. Kikuchi has a 5.15 ERA, a 1.48 WHIP, and a 3-5 record. The Houston Astros have never faced Kikuchi. That should give him a slight advantage in this matchup.

Unfortunately for the Mariners, the Stros list Justin Verlander as their Saturday starter. Verlander has a 10-3 record, a 2.67 ERA, and a .75 WHIP. Verlander is working on another Cy Young Award. The last time he faced Seattle he threw 6.1 innings and gave up 3 earned runs off 5 hits.

Verlander could have a similar outing and Houston should still win this by at least 2 runs.

Pick: Houston run line

New York Yankees at Boston Red Sox
When:  Sunday, June 30 at 10:00 am ET
Where: Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London, GB
TV: ESPN

Betting Analysis: Sunday’s Yankees-Red Sox battle could favor the Yankees depending on who they put on the mound. The Red Sox start Eduardo Rodriguez, whom the Yankees bat .263 against.

Rodriguez had a couple of great outings in his last two starts. He threw 7 innings in both. Both were Boston wins. But, those games were versus Baltimore and Minnesota. The Yankees are Boston’s biggest rival. NYY is worth backing no matter who they send to the mound on Sunday.

Pick: New York Yankees
