MLB Betting Analysis Sept 2 – Sept 8

Monday, Sept 2

Texas Rangers at New York Yankees

Mike Minor has thrown fairly well for the Texas Rangers. However, the Yankees bat .296 against him. Go with the Yankees

Pick: New York Yankees

Houston Astros at Milwaukee Brewers

While a Pittsburgh Pirate, Gerrit Cole routinely faced the Milwaukee Brewers. One of three Houston aces should dominate the Brew Crew. The Stros are 13-2 SU in Coles last 15 starts, including winning 7 in a row.

Pick: Houston Astros

Tuesday, Sept 3

New York Mets at Washington Nationals

Jacob DeGrom dominates the Washington Nationals. He and the Mets will be worth backing even though the Nats start Max Scherzer. Washington bats .189 versus DeGrom.

Pick: New York Mets

San Francisco Giants at St. Louis Cardinals

The Cardinals are 3-1 SU in Jack Flaherty’s last 4 starts. Flaherty’s home ERA is 2.67. The Giants struggle to score runs. Sounds like a Cardinals run line play.

Pick: St. Louis Cardinals run line

Wednesday, Sept 4

Philadelphia Phillies at Cincinnati Reds

Since arriving in Cincinnati, Trevor Bauer has been a mess. The Reds are 1-5 straight up in Bauer’s 6 starts while Bauer has a 4.53 ERA. The Phillies take this.

Pick: Philadelphia Phillies

L.A. Angels at Oakland Athletics

Angels pitcher Jaime Barria has gotten knocked around in his last 5 starts. He’s thrown past the fifth inning only once while the Angels are 0-5 in those 5 starts. The Athletics figure to win by at least 2.

Pick: Oakland Athletics run line

Thursday, Sept 5

Chicago Cubs at Milwaukee Brewers

The last time he faced them, Jose Quintana dominated the Brewers with a 4  hit, no runs, 5.2 inning performance. The problem in this game is that Chicago isn’t a very good road team. However, Quintana’s pitching could make up for that. Go with the Cubs.

Pick: Chicago Cubs

Minnesota Twins at Boston Red Sox

Although Boston is starting Nathan Eovaldi, they’re only throwing him for 2 to 4 innings. No worries. The Red Sox are 5-0 in the last 5 games where Eovaldi made an appearance. They’re 8-2 in the last 10 where he’s stepped to the mound. Boston wins.

Pick: Boston Red Sox

Friday, Sept 6

New York Yankees at Boston Red Sox

The greatest rivalry in sports happens this weekend when the New York Yankees travel to Fenway to battle Boston. On Friday, the Yankees start ace Domingo German. German should handle the Red Sox while the Yankees will score runs. NYY takes this matchup.

Pick: New York Yankees

San Francisco Giants at L.A. Dodgers

In his 6 appearances, Dodgers pitcher Tony Gonsolin hasn’t lit it up. He’s got a nice 2.89 ERA, but the Dodgers are 3-3 SU. The Giants look like a nice underdog play here.

Pick: San Francisco Giants

Saturday, Sept 7

New York Yankees at Boston Red Sox

Boston pitcher David Price hasn’t gotten into a groove yet this season. He should be off the DL on Sep. 1. Because he’ll have at least one game to put it together, Price might have his best stuff going on Saturday. He and the Red Sox are worth backing.

Pick: Boston Red Sox

Philadelphia Phillies at New York Mets

The Phillies have responded when Drew Smyly’s on the mound. They’re 5-2 straight up in Smyly’s 7 Brotherly Love starts. The Mets are stronger with Marcus Stroman in this matchup, though. NYM is 4-1 in Stroman’s 5 Big Apple starts. Back the Mets.

Pick: New York Mets

Sunday, Sept 8

Cleveland Indians at Minnesota Twins

Cleveland sends Mike Cleavinger to the mound to battle the AL Central rival Twins. Cleavinger dominated the Twins in Minnesota on August 8. He gave up 2 earned runs off 3 hits in 7 innings. Cleveland wins.

Pick: Cleveland Indians

New York Yankees at Boston Red Sox

The last time Masahiro Tanaka faced the Red Sox, they drove him off the mound after 3.1 innings. Tanaka allowed 5 earned runs off 7 hits. Boston starts Rick Porcello. They should beat their rivals by at least 2.

Pick: Boston Red Sox run line
