MLB Betting Analysis Sept 23-29

Monday, Sep 23

Philadelphia Phillies at Washington Nationals

The Nationals should be vulnerable here. Zach Eflin has a 4.00 ERA. He heads into this matchup after he only allowed 5 hits in 7 innings against Atlanta. The Phillies take this.

Pick: Philadelphia Phillies

St. Louis Cardinals at Arizona Diamondbacks

Adam Wainwright’s comeback is complete. He’s got a 3.83 ERA and 13-9 record this season. The Cards have won 5 in a row, all on the run line when Wainwright takes the mound. Go for it!

Pick: St. Louis run line

Tuesday, Sep 24

Cleveland Indians at Chicago White Sox

The Tribe has gone 3-1 SU in Aaron Civale’s last 4 starts. His ERA is a dynamite 1.82. Cleveland gets a win.

Pick: Cleveland

Oakland A’s at L.A. Angels

Angels starter Dillon Peters is 3-3 with a 4.81 ERA and a 1.51 WHIP. Those aren’t mind-blowing stats. But, the Halos respond when Dillon starts. They’re 3-1 in his last 4. Angels should pull off the victory.

Pick: L.A. Angels

Wednesday, Sep 25

New York Yankees at Tampa Bay Rays

The last time Rays listed starter Brendan McKay took the mound versus the Yankees, he lasted 5 innings and gave up 3 earned runs off 6 hits. NYY should punish McKay again on Wednesday.

Pick: Tampa Bay Rays

Milwaukee Brewers at Cincinnati Reds

Brewers starter Jordan Lyles has decent stats. More importantly? The Brew Crew are 9-1 on the moneyline in Lyles’ last 10 starts.

Pick: Milwaukee Brewers

Thursday, Sep 26

L.A. Dodgers at San Diego Padres

Ace Clayton Kershaw takes the mound for LAD. Kershaw is great but Padres starter Eric Lauer heads into this off a decent performance. Lauer allowed only 2 earned runs in his last 6 innings pitched. Eric’s home ERA is 3.08, which means we should give the Friars a shot in this one.

Pick: San Diego Padres

Friday, Sep 27

Chicago Cubs at St. Louis Cardinals

If the Cubs wish to make the postseason, they must start winning games. Jose Quintana takes the mound for their important Friday matchup with the rival St. Louis Cardinals. Quintana could have a good game on Friday. It won’t matter if he does. The Cubs are a terrible road team. Back the Cards who are 8-2 SU in Dakota Hudson’s last 10 starts.

Pick: St. Louis Cardinals

L.A. Dodgers at San Francisco Giants

The Giants have already been eliminated from the playoffs. They’ll still play hard on Saturday because they face the Dodgers. LAD bats .231 versus Johnny Cueto. JC should spark a Giants upset victory on Sep. 27.

Pick: San Francisco Giants

Saturday, Sep 28

Cleveland Indians at Washington Nationals

The Nationals might be favored, which means we can get value on The Tribe taking on a so-so NL squad. Adam Plutko takes the mound for Cleveland. Rock and Roll City has gone 4-1 straight up in Plutko’s last 5 starts. Back Cleveland.

Pick: Cleveland

Sunday, Sep 29

Chicago Cubs at St. Louis Cardinals

Sunday’s feature matchup has the Cubs and Cardinals once again battling on the diamond. Jon Lester picks up the baseball for the Cubs. Adam Wainwright grabs it for the Cards. The Cardinals pound Lester with a .284 batting average. St. Louis run line? You bet!

Pick: St. Louis run line
