There are approximately three glorious weeks of the MLB’s regular season left. There are still several battles left for playoff spots and that means there are great baseball games left to bet on as well. Here are my top MLB games to bet on in week 24 of action.
Major League Baseball’s Best Bets Week 24
Toronto Blue Jays at Atlanta Braves
When: Wednesday, Sept 16th
Toronto has been on an absolute roll after making some of the gutsiest trades in recent memory. One of those trades landed David Price, the former Detroit Tiger and Tampa Bay Ray. Price is without a doubt the Blue Jays’ ace.

He takes the mound versus Atlanta this Wednesday. The odds will definitely be in Price’s favor as the 30-year-old has allowed Brave batters to hit only .235 against him. Price has given up 35 hits and only 2 home runs in 148 at-bats. More importantly, he’s maintained an ERA below 2.50 and a WHIP at a nice 1.08.
Atlanta sends Shelby Miller, who unfortunately is 5 and 14 even though he has a 2.86 ERA, to the mound to square off against Price and the best hitting team in baseball. Miller has controlled Toronto batters in the past. They hit only .191 against him. Still, this looks like an easy run line wager to me.
Pick: Toronto Run Line
Kansas City Royals at Detroit Tigers
When: Friday, Sept 18th
It’s Johnny Cueto versus Justin Verlander again on Friday when the Royals face the Tigers. Unfortunately for KC, Cueto hasn’t been the shutdown pitcher they imagined having after trading for the former Cincinnati flame thrower. Cueto has done well versus Detroit. The batting average is only .209. Detroit batters have only 23 hits from 110 at-bats against Cueto.

Justin Verlander picked it up for a time. But, his form appears to have gone south some lately. He allowed the Royals to pick up 7 hits and 2 earned runs in a game on Sept. 1. Although Verlander wasn’t great, Cueto was worse. Cueto gave up 4 earned runs off of 9 hits.
This is a good game to pick up odds on Johnny Cueto and the KC Royals. Cueto kept the Royals in the game. Save for a 2 run second inning, Cueto pitched well enough to win. Since the Royals are on the road, they should be the dog in this pitcher’s duel. Go with KC.
Pick: Kansas City
Pittsburgh Pirates at Los Angeles Dodgers
When: Sunday, Sept 20th
There is plenty of love that still goes Clayton Kershaw’s way. Kershaw, one of the Dodgers’ 2 aces, is scheduled to pitch against Pittsburgh and Gerritt Cole this Sunday. Kershaw’s season hasn’t been as amazing as it was last season, but it hasn’t been bad. Kershaw is still capable of shutting down opposing batters.

Gerritt Cole really hasn’t had a great time pitching against the Dodgers. From 62 at-bats, L.A. has 17 hits. The Dodgers bat .274 versus Cole. Cole hasn’t given up a home run to L.A. Kershaw allows the Pirates to bat .261 against him. Kershaw’s given up 3 total home runs including 1 to Andrew McCutchen and 1 to Gregory Polanco. McCutchen bats .381 against Kershaw.
This is a good chance to beat the Dodgers and their ace in L.A. Back the Pirates.
Pick: Pittsburgh Pirates
