Teams that I featured last week like in my MLB best bets, including Toronto and Milwaukee, have held their value, so I’d keep betting away on those teams as part of your weekly grind. Sometimes you can spend too much time wondering if a team can maintain a hot streak, instead of riding a team while they’re sizzling. So with those two teams you have to just keep plugging away until they stop paying out. This is why seasoned baseball bettors will tell you that profiting in the majors isn’t always rocket science.
I’ve also left a couple hot teams off the list because of matchups. The Atlanta Braves are probably my most notable omission because they have two road series against Philadelphia and the Mets this coming week. I’m not sure I can promote them as one of the Baseball Best Bets this week in full confidence. I feel much better about these next three teams.
MLB Best Bets This Week
Chicago White Sox
Part of the reason that the White Sox remain attractive is that they’re on the road in Texas. They’ll have boosted value since they’re travelling, and Texas has been awful lately in the midst of a never ending turnstile heading in to their infirmary. Plus, Chicago will probably avoid Yu Darvish in the rotation since he’ll be pitching against the Mariners this week. So logging the White Sox as one of the Baseball Best Bets this week has as much to do with their own success as the lack thereof on the part of the Rangers.
Upcoming Games: vs. Boston (4/16 -4/17, @ Texas 4/18-4/20)
Don’t look now but the Athletics are 8-2 SU in their last 10 games after dominating Minnesota, Seattle and the Angles…all while travelling. In the process, Oakland has thundered to the top of the AL West and have earned a place in the Baseball Best Bets for this week. Their pitching staff is performing at an elite clip right now, and a confidence boosting leg at home against the pitiful Astros will only keep the good times rolling.
Upcoming Games: vs. LAA (4/16), vs. Houston (4/18 – 4/20)
San Francisco Giants
It might feel like I’m cherry picking on the division leaders, which I am, but it also has to do with the totally moneyline units on the season and these Giants currently have the fourth best ranking in that regard. Their offence has been relentless as of late, notching 4.93 runs per game which puts them at 6th in the league.
A series at home against the publicly backed Dodgers will keep their home lines balanced for the remainder of the week, while a trip to San Diego makes these red-hot Giants one of the Baseball Best Bets this week without question.
Upcoming Games: vs. LAD (4/16 – 4/17), @ San Diego (4/18 – 4/20)
