This weekend’s slate is chalk full of great takes in baseball betting picks. We have three interleague series, two of which I’ve featured below, and a couple of other fun plays for you to wager on as well. Let’s break things down on the weekend board!
MLB Betting Picks This Weekend
Money Line Betting Pick – Houston Astros at Baltimore Orioles (5/9 – 5/11)
The Baltimore Orioles are caught in what’s basically a five way tie for first in the always competitive AL East. In the process, they have become one of the best baseball betting picks when playing at home, and have a patty cake matchup this weekend against the woeful Houston Astros. Baltimore’s lacking defense will always throw the mainstream of their trail, and at home they’ll boast a comfortable payback value as a moneyline profit maker this weekend.
Interleague Betting Pick– Washington Nationals at Oakland Athletics (5/9 -5/11)
While the NBA and NHL playoffs continues to hog the spotlight, the Nationals and Athletics engage in some sweet, inter-league play that is sure to tear the roof off. Both teams sit atop their respective divisions, but the Athletics have been amongst the hottest takes in baseball betting picks. By contrast, the Nationals have been floating around non-profit land as they continue to be one a public bet that can’t really get off the ground.
I mean, there’s a lot to like about Washington, but travelling to the other side of the country and playing against one of the American League’s better squads doesn’t exactly bode well. Washington has always struggled as an offensive team despite a great personnel, and Oakland’s aces are spitting hot fire right now. I’m going to ride Oakland heavy in this series.
Runline Betting Pick – Colorado Rockies at Cincinnati Reds (5/9 – 5/11)
No team is turning tricks harder than the Colorado Rockies, who have flown so brilliantly under the radar that it’s almost hard to believe that they exist. I mean, if you’re not betting on the Rockies with your baseball betting picks then you’re not doing it properly. They have a rough stretch this week, including a home and home series against Texas and a three game set against the Reds, which is one of the best takes for this weekend. As always, the Rockies will continue to present a ton of value on the runline and are 22-12 ATS this season. Ride this gravy train like it’s never going to stop.
Interleague Betting Pick – New York Yankees at Milwaukee Brewers (5/9 – 5/11)
Obviously, the Brewers continue to reign supreme as the best team in overall baseball betting picks and this weekend should be no different as they host Derek Jeter and the New York Yankees at Miller Park. The Yankees have been getting torn asunder recently, having gone just 3-7 SU in their last 10 games. This is also a very long road trip for the elder statesmen of the Yankees, as they play the Angels on the west coast earlier in the week. The Brewers are a steady play on the moneyline, but if you’re feeling daring then you should take them as a moneyline play at home against the publically adored Yankees. This is money on the table.
