L.A Dodgers Vs Washington Nationals NLDS Game 1 Line
The L.A. Dodgers go into Game 1 off of a losing streak. The Dodgers dropped 3 games in a row to the San Francisco Giants. Being swept by the rival Giants right before the postseason is never a good sign. Washington finished up their regular season with 6 wins and 4 losses.

Bet on Los Angeles to Beat Washington Because…
L.A went 5 and 1 straight up this season against the Nationals. L.A. beat Washington 4-1 on June 20. They beat them 3-2 on June 21. They rocked Washington again 4-3 on June 22. The Dodgers beat Washington 8 to 4 on July 19. They dominated the Nationals 6-3 on July 21. There’s no reason to believe that Los Angeles won’t be as dominant against Washington this Friday in Game 1 of their NL Divisional Playoff Series.
Bet on Washington to Beat Los Angeles Because…
The Nationals send ace Max Scherzer to the mound. Although losing Stephen Strasburg to injury for this series could hurt the Nationals, Scherzer should be more than capable of carrying the load as Washington’s ace. His ERA is a terrific under 3 at 2.96. He has a 20-7 record and a .97 WHIP.
Expert Pick & Final Score Prediction
This is a series between the two best bullpens in Major League Baseball. Because of that, pressure is going to be on each starter Clayton Kershaw for the Dodgers and Scherzer for Washington, to put their bullpen into a winning position before they leave the game.
Out of the two starting pitchers, Kershaw has the edge. He’s allowed Washington to bat .217 against him. That’s much higher than what Kershaw usually allows, which shows you how great he is. Kershaw didn’t start pitching again until September, meaning that he should have a well-rested arm going into this series.
Max Scherzer is a solid pitcher for Washington. But against the Dodgers he’s had his issues. L.A. bats .282 versus Sherzer from 103 at-bats. They have 29 hits off of Max. Scherzer didn’t pitch against L.A. this season.
I don’t like his chances on Friday. I think the Dodgers take it to the Nationals in this Game 1.
