MLB Expert Picks Sept 24 – 31

Baseball’s 2018 season is winding down and I have a trio of betting picks for you to cash in on.

MLB Expert Picks Sept 24 – 31

L.A. Dodgers at Arizona Diamondbacks
When: Wednesday, Sep. 26 at 10:00 pm ET
Where: Chase Field, Phoenix, AZ

Analysis: This week determines whether L.A. wins the NL West Division or not. Arizona would like nothing more than to keep the rival Dodgers from the division title. They can throw a wrench into L.A.’s plans by beating them on Wednesday.

The Diamondbacks list former Dodger Zack Greinke as their starter for this matchup. Greinke’s got a nice 3.21 ERA and 1.06 WHIP. His home ERA is 2.52, which means he should have his best stuff on Sep. 26.

Also, L.A. could go off the favorites just because they’ve been hot the past couple of weeks. That would make the D’Backs an attractive home underdog play.

Pick: Arizona

New York Yankees at Boston Red Sox
When: Saturday, Sep. 29 at 1:05 pm ET
Where: Yankee Stadium, Bronx, NY

Analysis: New York has scheduled Luis Severino to take the mound. That could change because the Yankees might want to save Severino for the AL Wildcard Game on Oct. 3. Even if Severino pitches, Boston looks like the play.

Eduardo Rodriguez has a 12-4 record, a 3.79 ERA, and a 1.27 WHIP. Like most Boston starters, Rodriguez can get away with making mistakes because the Red Sox bats and bullpen will bail him out. Red Sox win by at least 2 runs.

Pick: Boston

St. Louis Cardinals at Chicago Cubs
When: Saturday, Sep. 29 at 1:05 pm ET
Where: Wrigley Field, Chicago, IL

Analysis: St. Louis, Milwaukee, and the Cubs are fighting each other for the NL Central Division. The Cubs currently lead the Brewers by 2.5 games. Chicago could close out the NL Central before this Saturday matchup.

That doesn’t mean St. Louis won’t have anything to play for, though. The Cardinals could secure a spot in the wildcard game if they can leapfrog Milwaukee or finish with a better record than Colorado.

Motivation could mean something in this game. I like the Cardinals.

Pick: St. Louis
