MLB Lock Picks July 23 – 29

While everyone is waiting for football to kick-off, I have a trio of MLB lock picks you can bet on now to boost your sports betting bank-roll. Happy hunting!

MLB Lock Picks July 23 – 29

Cleveland at Detroit
When:  Friday, July 27 at 7:00 pm ET
Where: Comerica Park, Detroit, MI

Analysis: Cleveland battles Detroit in a Friday game that the Tribe should easily win. Cleveland figures to pull away from its AL Central competition in the second half of the season. Not only that, but the Tribe starts one of their ace pitchers, Carlos Carrasco, on Friday.

Cleveland is 5 and 1 straight up the last 6 times Carrasco has started. That will make Cleveland a home odds favorite in this matchup even though they’re the road team.

But, the last time Detroit faced Carrasco, they punished him for 3 earned runs off 6 hits in 6.2 innings. The Tigers are a nice home dog play on July 27.

MLB Lock Pick: Detroit

Seattle at L.A. Angels
When:  Sunday, July 29 at 4:00 pm ET
Where: Angels Stadium of Anaheim, Anaheim, CA

Analysis: The Angels are undecided as to who their starter will be on Sunday, July 29. It won’t matter if Seattle sticks with Marco Gonzalez. Gonzalez has been unreal versus the Angels.

His last couple of starts have been against the L.A. Angels. In both starts, Marco dominated. On July 5, he held LAA to 1 earned run off 5 hits in 6 innings. He struck out 7 Angel batters. On July 11, Gonzalez only struck out 4 Angels batters. However, he pitched a 2 hit 7 inning gem.

The Mariners beat LAA 4 to 1 on July 5. They blanked them 3 to 0 on July 11.

MLB Lock Pick: Seattle

Chicago at St. Louis
When: Sunday, July 29 at 8:00 pm ET
Where: Busch Stadium, St. Louis, MO

Analysis: The Cubs send Kyle Hendricks to the mound on Sunday. Hendricks has a losing 6 and 8 record. He’s got a nice sub-4.00 ERA, though. Unfortunately for Kyle in this matchup, is that the Cardinals bat a healthy .279 against him.

The batting average is legitimate because Hendricks has faced Cardinal batters 154 times. St. Louis listed starter Miles Mikolas has a 2.79 ERA and a 1.05 WHIP.

The Cards take this game.
