The New York Mets, who became MLB’s first 10 game winners last week, send Jacob DeGrom to the mound to take on the New York Yankees Michael Pineda in the first of a 3 game interleague series.

DeGrom has been light’s out so far this season. His ERA is .93 while his WHIP is 1.14. He’s allowed 19 hits in 19.1 innings. There is limited information regarding DeGrom’s ability versus Yankee batters. He’s faced the Yankees only 19 total times, yielding 3 hits. Degrom’s 7 strike outs in 19 at-bats is very good.

The Yankees’ Pineda just isn’t pitching as well as DeGrom. Although he’s 2 and 0 on the season, Pineda has a 5.00 ERA and a 1.33 WHIP. There isn’t a whole lot of information regarding Pineda’s ability versus the Mets. This is a toss-up. Whichever team is offering value is the team to back.

Game Two: New York Mets at New York Yankees
Projected Pitchers: Mets: R Matt Harvey (3-0, 3.50 ERA) vs Yankees: L CC Sabathia (0-3, 4.35 ERA)
Date: Apr. 25 2015
Start Time: 4:05 p.m. ET
Location: New York, New York
Stadium: Yankee Stadium

The second game in the Subway Series pits the two team’s aces against one another. Matt Harvey (pictured) for the Mets has been sensational so far this season. His ERA of 3.50 isn’t spectacular, but he’s already 3 and 0 and the WHIP of 1.00 is terrific. Yankee batters have had some success versus Harvey in the past. Harvey has given up 4 hits, 3 RBIs and a home run in 15 at-bats. That’s not a lot of at-bats, but it is a sign that the Yankees should have hope facing the terrific Harvey.

Can CC Sabathia for the Yankees deliver?  Sabathia is 0 and 3 with a 4.35 ERA and a 1.26 WHIP. That’s not great, but in his last start, Sabathia held the Tigers, arguably the best team in baseball, to 2 runs in 8 innings. CC’s form could be coming around. The Yankees are the play because they’re likely to offer overlay odds in this matchup.

Game Three: New York Mets at New York Yankees
Projected Pitchers: Mets: L Jonathon Niese (1-0, 1.50 ERA) vs Yankees: R Nathan Eovaldi (0-0, 4.35 ERA)
Date: Apr. 26 2015
Start Time: 8:00 p.m. ET
Location: New York, New York
Stadium: Yankee Stadium
TV Info: ESPN
Stream: ESPN/WatchESPN
Radio: New York Mets Vs New York Yankees

Jonathan Neise for the Mets takes on Nathan Eovaldi for the Yankees in the third game of the series. Neise is one of the reasons that the Mets have won so many games this season. He’s 1 and 0 with a 1.59 ERA. What’s crazy is that his WHIP of 1.76 is much higher than it usually is for a successful pitcher. Neise has been just okay versus Yankee batters. They hit .270 against him. Yankee batters have connected on 19 of 70 at-bats with 2 home runs and 7 RBIs.

Eovaldi’s given up 29 hits, 2 home runs, and 9 RBIs to Mets’ batters from 94 at-bats. The Mets bat .309 versus Eovaldi. It’s tough to back the Yankees in this matchup. Neise and the Mets should end the series with a victory.
