The Red Sox Lost Their Home Opener At Home

Texas Rangers vs. Boston Red Sox

The Red Sox Lost Their Home Opener At Home

The Red Sox not only lost their home opener to Milwaukee but they allowed 2 runs in the top of the ninth to seal the deal. From what I saw this team has played very passive since the beginning of the season. They are missing that bully aspect they always seem to have. The Rangers seem to already see the fruits of having Prince Fielder on their team as he has made a very good impact so far.

Texas Rangers vs. Boston Red Sox
The home win-less Boston Red Sox welcome the Texas Rangers to Fenway Park Monday for the first of a 3-game series.
Starts: 04/07/2014 7:00PM
Fenway Park, 4 Yawkey Way
BostonMassachusetts

Texas will open this series with Tanner Scheppers who really did not have a good first outing, leaving the game with only 2 strikeouts and an ERA of 15.75. This teams has also shown issues when it comes to their pitching rotation and a few injuries have not made anything easier. The Rangers have posted some last minute come from behind wins already this season so anything is to be expected in this game.

Boston is the current World Series Champion, so they will get the best of every team that plays on them this season, they cannot afford yet again to have a bad start to their year, last year will not happen again for sure. John Lackey will take the hill in this game with his first win already under his belt. Lackey opened his season with an ERA of 3 and six strikeouts. The Red Sox need to protect their second baseman, they have already allowed 3 steals.

Pick: I don’t see the Rangers pulling away from Boston here at home, they owe their fans at least to dominate their home games. With Boston -130 and at home with a loss already… it´s a no brainer.
