The Best and Worst MLB Teams To Bet On This WeekendNoah Williams
Baseball is in full swing and I have the best and worst MLB teams to bet on this weekend starting with three teams that have surprised the gambling world to a massive degree. Further down you’ll find the three teams to stay away from this weekend as well. Have a great weekend, folks!
The Best MLB Teams To Bet On This Weekend
Toronto Blue Jays (5-4 SU)
It’s hard to be that invigorated by the Toronto Blue Jays overall. They’re ranked 20th in offence and just 19th in overall defense, but one of the best trends about them is that they usually start the season very strong. They just thumped the Houston Astros in a three-game set during the week and now visit the reeling Baltimore Orioles who have gone just 3-5 SU in their last 8 games. Toronto’s going to have great moneyline value in a four-game series away in Baltimore and that makes them one of the best MLB teams to bet on this weekend.
Upcoming Games: at Baltimore (4/11 thru 4/15)
Milwaukee Brewers (6-2 SU)
Ryan Braun continues to make waves for smashing through opposing pitches on his comeback tour, and all the attention he’s drawing completely takes away from the startling defense the Brewers have put together. What makes the Brewers one of the best MLB teams to bet on is their wildly underrated defense, which is tops in the majors right now. Sure it’s early, but we’re betting in the here and now. I actually like them as a +5000 longshot flier bet in World Series odds, but right now there’s no hotter bet on the market.
Upcoming Games: vs. Pittsburgh (4/11 thru 4/13), vs. STL (4/14)
Seattle Mariners (5-3 SU)
I’m going to continue to believe in Seattle until they really show signs of faltering. They split a mini-series against the Angels 1-1 SU but continued to show the offensive power that became apparent early on in the season when they murdered the Angles on the road last week. We’re getting back to the top of the order as they host Oakland this weekend and that in itself makes Seattle a no-brainer as one of the best MLB teams to bet on this week.
Upcoming Games: vs. Oakland (4/11 thru 4/13), at Texas (4/14 thru 4/16)
The Worst MLB Teams To Bet On This Weekend
Boston Red Sox (-320 Moneyline)
The defending champs are one of the worst MLB teams to bet on simply because of their huge public backing. No team is killing their backers more than Boston in the American League. They’re just no worth it. Enjoy these nutjobs from a distance.
Cincinnati Reds (-302 Moneyline)
Cincinnati has a big backing from nerds and Midwest fans and they’re simply a slow starting team. This stench will eventually wear off, but right now it’s here to stay. The Reds don’t present any value currently because it’s impossible to really gauge them as a team. They are far from one of the worst teams in baseball, but they’re definitely one of the worst MLB teams to bet on these days. Check back later.
Arizona Diamondbacks (-506 Moneyline)
We go through the same motions with the Diamondbacks every year at the beginning of the season. Everyone thinks they’re going to sneak up on people and in reality they’re just a bad ball club. They have an atrocious rotation and a terrible defense. A rough 3-8 SU start to the season has made them the worst MLB team to bet on across the majors so do yourself a favor and stay the hell away.
