Favored Kyle Busch will be looking for his third checkered flag in the last 4 NASCAR Sprint Cup Races. Kyle won at Martinsville on April 3. He also won at Texas on April 9. Favorite To Win The Toyota Owners 400: Kyle Busch +450
Busch complained about the changes to Bristol Motor Speedway after the thirty-eighth place finish. No worries. He has every right to complain because so far this NASCAR Sprint Cup Season he’s been tearing it up!
Busch’s record is 2 wins and 6 total Top 5 finishes from 8 races this year. When it comes to Richmond, Kyle is ranked third behind Joey Logano and Jeff Gordon in races at Richmond International Raceway since Feb. 14. Since Gordo has since retired, that places Kyle in second place behind Logano. His average finish is 6.33 in 3 races at Richmond.
Busch has a shot to win but at +450, I’m looking elsewhere.
Smart Betting Pick To Win The Toyota Owners 400: Brad Keselowski +900
Keselowski had a nice twelfth place finish in Bristol last week. At Richmond, he’s been one of the better drivers with a win and 3 total Top 10 finishes in the last 4 over RIR. Keselowski’s 2016 has been good so far. He won at Las Vegas on March 6. He has 4 total Top 10 finishes from 8 races.
Brad’s going to have to be much better than he was at both Texas and Bristol. He started eighth at Texas and finished eighteenth. He started twelfth at Bristol and again finished eighteenth. Based on his history at Richmond, he’s primed to finish much better on Sunday than he had in the past 2 Sprint Cup Races. Keselowski has led 31.63% of the laps, by far the most of any driver, in the last 4 races at RIR. I love his chances on Sunday.
Long Shot Betting Pick To Win The Toyota Owners 400: Kurt Busch +1600
I think the other Busch has a huge shot to take home the top prize on Sunday. Kurt Busch has excellent form at Richmond. In the last 4 races, he’s recorded a win and 2 total Top 10 finishes. Kurt’s average finish at RIR is 11.50. He’s led 18.19% of the laps, which ranks second behind only Brad Keselowski, in the last 4 races at Richmond International Raceway.
Kurt Busch also goes into Sunday’s race with upward moving form. He finished ninth at Texas on April 9. Last week, he finished third at Bristol. Busch could jump all the way to first at Richmond on April 24. At 16 to 1 odds, he’s a definite consider for the checkered flag at RIR this Sunday.
