2014 NBA Playoff Best Bets This Weekend

The first round of the post season has been an absolute blast so far, even if it’s been tough to make money off of the games. That’s why I’m here with my 2014 NBA playoff best bets this weekend. These are four games I feel very comfortable with despite all the uncertainty hanging in the air.

2014 NBA Playoff Best Bets This Weekend

Bet On The Toronto Raptors -5.0 over BROOKLYN NETS

Friday, April 25th — 7:00pm EST

This has been a back and forth matchup all season, and Toronto’s resiliency is shining through in a big way. They fed off the crowd during Game 2 but will now have to travel to hostile territory when they face Brooklyn in their own house. The good news for the Raptors is that they’ve played phenomenally on the road, having gone 25-15-1 ATS when travelling this season. That includes a 5-3 SU record in their last 8 away games.

The bad news is that Brooklyn can be pretty amazing at home, where they 24-17 ATS as hosts this season before tanking at the end of the season. And that’s honestly part of the problem. The Raptors look like they’ve taken it very personally that Brooklyn targeted them as the weak link of the east. This has already been a tight series, and when the refs aren’t bending the Raptors over, they have a very strong chance of giving Brooklyn a serious challenge.

Bet The PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS -3.0 over Houston Rockets

Friday, April 25th — 10:30pm EST

It should be fairly automatic to make Portland one of the 2014 NBA playoff best bets this weekend. The Blazers are 4-2 ATS in their last 6 games against the defensively depleted Houston Rockets, who can’t seem to find an answer for LaMarcus Aldridge. Portland’s key engine has scored 89 points and secured 24 rebounds in the last two games. That’s not a misprint

It’s also mind boggling given that Dwight Howard is the anchor of the Houston Rockets. Both teams can score – we’ve known this the whole time, but Portland simply seems more capable of generating stops when they need them. When they return home to their rabid fans with a 2-0 SU lead in the series, there’s no telling how badly the mentally weak Rockets will implode.

Bet The Indiana Pacers -2.5 over ATLANTA HAWKS

Saturday, April 26th — 2:00pm EST

Is it time to trust Indiana again? I’m not totally sure, but a 101-85 decimation of Atlanta in Game 2 has me leaning towards them in my 2014 NBA playoff best bets this weekend. The Hawks have been awesome against the betting line with an 8-2 ATS record in their past 10 games (not including last night’s matchup), but this line doesn’t offer much of a buffer in the case that Indiana goes buck wild yet again. So I’m airing on the side of caution here and taking the Pacers as slim road favorites.

Bet the DALLAS MAVERICKS +3.5 over San Antonio Spurs

Saturday, April 26th — 4:30pm EST

I still love San Antonio to pound out the wins here, but Dallas just seems like a great bet overall. The Mavericks have gone 4-2 ATS in their last 6 games and though they’ve struggled as a home team play this year (17-24 ATS) they look like a completely different animal in the playoffs. Again, the Spurs probably get the win here…but it won’t be as easy as most of us assumed it would be. The Battle of Texas is going to be an outright war and right now Dallas holds the edge in 2014 NBA playoffs best bets this weekend.
