Must Watch NBA Games March 4-10

2018 NBA X-Mas Day Picks

While most other major sports take Christmas day off, the NBA gives us the biggest and best matchups. This year is no exception.

2018 NBA X-Mas Day Picks

Oklahoma City Thunder at Houston Rockets
When: Tuesday, Dec. 25 at 3:00 pm ET
Where: Toyota Center, Houston, TX
TV: ABC
Odds: Houston -5.5

Analysis: There’s a reason the Houston Rockets are favored over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Christmas Day. Houston has been terrific both straight up and against the spread. The Rockets are 6-1 SU in their last 7. They’re 5-1-1 ATS in those 7 games.

The last time Houston battled Oklahoma City, they lost, though. It wasn’t even close. The Thunder dominated 98-80. Not only that, but Oklahoma City has been pretty good against the spread just like Houston.

Oklahoma City has gone 3-1 ATS in their last 4. They’ll find a way to keep this one close. Houston should win, but they’ll only win by 2 to 4 points.

Pick: Oklahoma City Thunder

Philadelphia 76ers at Boston Celtics
When: Tuesday, Dec. 25 at 5:30 pm ET
Where: TD Garden, Boston, MA
TV: ABC
Odds: Boston -6.5

Analysis: The Philadelphia 76ers host the Boston Celtics on X-Mas Day as an over 6-point underdog. Both teams have been playing well, making this a tough game to handicap.

The Celtics are 7-3 straight up and against the spread in their last 10 while the 76ers are 3-1 SU and ATS in their last 4. Boston just beat the Charlotte Hornets 119-103. That doesn’t compare to who Philly beat in their last game.

The 76ers took down the Toronto Raptors 126-101. Although Boston should be tough to beat at home, Philadelphia has been on fire in recent games. The 76ers have a big shot of winning this one straight up.

Pick: Philadelphia 76ers moneyline

L.A. Lakers at Golden State Warriors
When: Tuesday, Dec. 25 at 8:00 pm ET
Where: Oracle Arena, Oakland, CA
TV: ABC
Odds: Golden State -10.5

Analysis: The Golden State Warriors host the L.A. Lakers in a primetime matchup on Dec. 25. The Lakers have fought their way to second place in the Pacific Division behind the Warriors. That makes this game one of the more important battles of the week.

Golden State beat the Lakers 117-108 in the last meeting. That took place way back in March. L.A.’s only 6-10 against the spread on the road. But, the Warriors are only 8-9 ATS at home.

It makes sense to take the points because the Lakers can run with Golden State.

Pick: L.A. Lakers
