An early afternoon ABC doubleheader awaits this Sunday and I’m here to give out some NBA betting advice as the Heat clash with the rival Bulls and the Thunder beat up on the home bound Lakers.
Miami Heat Vs. The Chicago Bulls Live on ABC
The Bulls have been an impressive play since the break, going a dazzling 7-2 SU and ATS in their past 9 games. A lot of it has had to do with the matchups since they’ve played pretenders like New York, Dallas, Detroit and Atlanta during that stretch. But they also decimated Golden State and outlasted Toronto. Still, handing out betting advice on this ABC NBA doubleheader isn’t that simple because Chicago struggles mightily when playing Miami. Click here for live Heat Vs. Chicago odds.
The last time they met, LeBron and company went ballistic in a 93-79 destruction of a team James loves to compete against. Miami has endured a rough two game losing streak, where they haven’t covered, but against Chicago they’re a great bet. Miami is still 6-2-2 ATS over the last 10 games, and losses to San Antonio and Houston are nothing to be that embarrassed about (though a -24.0 loss to the Spurs is a bit worrisome).
Take Miami here to cover in a bounce back effort as Chicago struggles to defend the best player in the world. The Bulls tend to have a bit of a size advantage against most teams, but for whatever reason that doesn’t matter when they play Miami.
Thunder Storms Hollywood
Things are going from bad to worse for the Lakers these days so giving out betting advice concerning this particular NBA ABC doubleheader is pretty simple. The Lakers just suffered their worst loss in franchise history after getting thumped by the rival Clippers by -48.0 points. That’s put them in a two game tailspin and the fact remains that the Lakers are probably the worst defensive team in the NBA right now. They’ve surrendered 107.4 points against on average this season. Over the last six games, they’ve been throttled on the scoreboard while giving up…wait for it…121.0 points per game!
We knew the state of Lakers basketball was dismal, but did anyone know it was that bad? Maybe the Lakers’ backers noticed. This game is actually part of a home-and-home mini series with Oklahoma City. They play again at the Energy Arena on Thursday. If you’re still gambling on the Lakers, it might be time to heed some better betting advice. Click here for live Thunder Vs. Lakers odds.
As for Oklahoma City, they’ve been a virtual stay away play in the book lately and a 122-128 road loss in overtime against Phoenix certainly has their faithful on edge. The Thunder are just 2-4-1 ATS since the break, and have only won three of those games outright. But this game will be a cake walk for them. I frequently dole out betting advice like “don’t overthink the matchup” and the second half of the ABC doubleheader is a game where you need to exercise that train of thought.
